Just chopped the little bitches down and starting to dry .... Temp is 66.9 witch from all that I have read is fine.. My concern is I can not get my humidity up past 39%.. From all that I have read 45-55% is the range to be in ... Any one have the same issue of lower then perfect humidity during the first stages of drying ??? What was your outcome ??

Put the bud in a closet/confined space without venting. Add a dehumidifier and a small fan. Run the fan 24/7 to keep the air moving. Set the dehumidifier at desired RH. Done. Now you can dry them as fast or slow as desired. I usually dry very fast for the first 24 hours, then set the RH much higher on the dehumidifier and let the buds dry for about 5 days more before placing in a jar for the cure.

I run continuous, aka <30 RH for 24 hours, then 60 RH or so for 5 days. If not ready for a jar at this point I set the RH to 35 and check on the buds every few hours until ready to Jar.

When I dry at too low of RH the buds just take longer to cure, assuming I didn't let them over dry. In other words, they will be a bit harsh for a bit longer into the cure than a slow dry.

a bucket of water is not going to bring it up by just a few %, your going to dry it to fast and it's going to lock all the chlorophyll/starch in there, try moving it into a different room, and I've also noticed HIGH areas will have a lower humidity then a LOWER area by as much as 5-10%, but I have been doing mine at 50% the first 3 days, then 60% for 4-7 more days, temps supposed to be at 68 mine are at 60-64 but the way I've been drying it has been doing real good nice hard dense perfect nuggets, jar it burp it a few times for the first 2-3 days, then you should be able to do it once a week.

Best thing to do is start testing it by putting a RH tester in a jar with the bud, and there is a chart which tells what it should be at.

what do think about putting a blow torch under a pan of water to bring the humidity up?
