14/10 Light Cycle

Just to answer the original question:

I veg under 14/10 light schedule in my main veg tent. Clones will show heavy pre-flowers in this cycle but definitely continue vegitative growth.
Plants from seed will take the typical 3-6 weeks before pre-flowers.

I have been vegging like this for 2 years now to cut costs and have never had a plant go into flowering under 14 on 10off. I have noticed my Sativa dominant plants take less time to flip into flower and with indica dom. flowering begins within a couple of days for most plants.

This has been my experience and I am happy with it.

Edit: forgot to answer the rest of the question. The last two summers I transplanted from in to outside in middle-ish may. Plants started flowering in August in both cases ( big bud and Charlie Sheen OG) located in colorful Colorado.

I appreciate the feedback Jake. This year I will only be vegging inside for 6 weeks (seeds) so I might try the 14/10 light cycle. Good luck on your grow!

14/10 works for most stuff

just I find c99 won`t veg properly at 14/10 it`ll flower pretty hard it`ll even flower up at 16/8 that`s why I run veg 18/6

but yeah most strains seem ok to run 14/10 if there stable a lot of strains can be vegged @ 14/5.5/1/5.5 so running your lights for 30 to 60 mins right in the middle of the dark period, some people get away with as low as 10 hour days running lamps 30 to 60 mins in the middle of the "night"

with regs 14/10 seems to give you more females too

but 18/6 seems to grow them faster for me and as I said I run a lot of female seeds c99 and that will bud up at 16/8 and 14/10 so gotta run that at 18/6 if you want to veg up a big plant and avoid risking bud rot

Yea these are all new genetics too from seed so Im not 100% how they will respond :/

thats why i keep going back and forth between 18/6 and 14/20.. I just don't want any to flower and then have to go through the re-veg BS like some of the strains last year. At the same time I would really like to run 18/6 and get them as big as possible.

Oh well Ill just have to make a decision soon. Thanks for the feedback gentlemen.
