cMetal Im so glad that I have your expertise and experience with orange bud available. You are a huge asset I think. So bsaed on my set up, What am I lookin to yield would you say? Thinkin on using 2 gallon square containers for flower.
And does anyone have an opinion based on my most recent photos of which plant to keep for a mom? Maby a little early for that.

No prob, I searched everywhere to find someone growing OB that is at the level I am now when I was at your level . ill have to look back at your whole setup to make a guess on yield, plus its all how ya keepem smaller with this strain, or lollipop them to get a massive top cola. I would take a couple clones from each plants underbranches before ya putem in 12-12. Label them 1,2,3 ect and when ya get to smoke the herb, choose the clone to be a mother that gave you your fav bud of them all. it is the best way to get the best phenotype for yourself. it's exactly what I am doing with my 4 white rhino and 4 trainwreck plants in my next harvest.

One plant is at 20 inches so I FIM'd it and another whose shoots were really small for its height but now theyre growing like crazy. I want to flower but im not seeing any preflowers yet so being that they are fem seeds I dont want to risk flowering them now and stressing them out and getting hermaphrodites.

You can flower at any height/age after 2 weeks without stressing. Just FYI.

Almost 2 years ago I planted the OB seeds from Dutch Passion. I planted 2 fem seeds ands both were female as welll as diff pheno's. They produced me with the clones for my first few goes and since then I have learned to keep mothers really small and time when to grow clone shoots out. I chopped the mothers they were to huge to bud. This time around I put the plants into flower at a very bushy 12"-14". They have now stopped stretching at 2'10". (This is the non SCROG). They will put on another foot of bud tower like colas in the next 30-40 days. If ya look back to the beggining of my thread it starts with my very first OB grow I did and how huge they got since I put them into bud way to tall.

Flowering 2 20" plants, my 2 tallest at the moment. I FIM'd the other one fed them both 5ml bushmaster/gallon and saturated the soil with 1/2 gal. each. Put them 16 inches from the 1000 HPS for now. Since thers only 2 plants Im going to get that reflector right on those tops tomorrow. I bought a $60 heat shield http://www.homegrown-hydroponics.com/904485.htmlfor my reflector which is supposed to cool my temps down by 30 f. Ill see how it works with my state of the art kick ass 630 cfm exhaust fan (ostburg, made in sweden) and report back.

My grow roomtemps are significantly cooler and I can probly get away with putting the light 7-8 inches from the tops no problem.

If you where a part of advanced nutrients forums before it was shut down or viewed the forums you would know me as I was very active on that forums for many years as "MadScientist" documenting alot of grows.. I have grown alot of strains yet for the last 3 or 4 years just bubba kush... I use mostly all advanced nutrients in my grow using iguana juice for a base... Any how i have had these orange bud seeds in my fridge since 02' from a trip to amsterdam where i actauly went to dutch passion personaly.. There shop is crazy as it has a big seed sprouting that hangs above shop... after 6 years in fridge 9 out of the 11 that where in the sealed dealers packs have sprouted in just 3 days...the seeds are feminised... anhedonia i look forward to seeing your results and will drop by and let u know how mine are doing as i am super picky with what i will keep as a mom or consider commiting a big run to.. I have 3 rooms so i keep my test subjects away from my main flower room .... was glad to see chaotic running this strain ... the streching tips where huge as i was thinking it would be indica dominant and not strech that much....

Nice to meet ay man,def could use some ore experienced growers here. If ya haven't checked out my chaoticharvest thread def do so Ihave at leat 3 diff runs of OB in there. he most recent is at day 28 right now and is blowin away the past grows.

Dutch passion sucks. They have no really good genetics. I tried three of there seeds. power plant, master kush and green spirit. They all SUCK. One of them hermed and the genetics is a joke compared to clones i have got for Free!!

well, thats not a bad point. In my cannabible3, I know of at least 3 dutch passion strains that were reviewed and he didnt speak very highly of the one in my avatar, purple#1, commenting that the high was almost unnoticeable. Too bad I got the seeds without knowing that before hand. The picture was so beautiful so it kinda tricked me into getting them. The orange bud I think are gonna be some chronic meds though.

The 2 plants that were photoinduced 4 days ago and fed bushmaster have had droopy leaves wether the soil is dry or wet. I let it dry out completely and then saturated it and they still show the same symptom. Then to top it off I should hae fed them water but instead I gave them nutrients and today noticed a little discoloration on some of the leaf edges and tips. No yellowing though. The tops of the plants where i fim'd 'em are growing abnormally in my opinion. They looked all wilted and feel kinda dry but theyre toatally green. And im seeing little flowers just barely starting to grow, just after 4 days 12/12.
The other 6 are growing steadily but I have a couple small ones that seem to be growing a little slow. I'll start them on 5-45-19 and theyre usual 6-4-4 unitl I put them into flowering. Acctuall within the next few days. And my seedling/clone/veg rooms.

This is the smoke/grow report I wrote after my last harvest, right before the one I am working on now.


So heres the Orange bud after about a month of jar curing. The two phenotypes are very similar in looks, though the pheno I labeled OB2 is more resinous with a stickier and danker characteristics. It also produced a more dense buds that were like chunky fists instead of smooth rocket ship like colas like the other pheno, OB1. OB2 has hint of citrus mixed with a potent haze aroma. When smoked it burns slowly and tastes strongly of haze, I think a haze of sorts was def what they crossed cali orange with to get orange bud, it's just so blatant in this pheno. The high is mostly in the head, very cerebral and immediately melts you into the surrounding especially while listening to music. The body high isn't strong but definitely there, not a good smoke for before bed, but great for the wake N' bake & throughout the day. Very little couchlock.

The second pheno OB1 is not as resinous but has a very fruity aroma, everyone says it's like Hawaiian punch. Very thick orange pistills, more so than green in many buds. The high is almost the same, but not quite as intense for me. Most my friends feel it's just as good, though I prefer the other pheno cause its more potent and I smoke alot, plus I am a big fan of the taste of haze strains. As for taste the haze seemed to come out more and more the longer I let the plant mature, so I think I am going to lt this pheno go a little longer next time. The main flavor is fruity though just like the smell, not quite as smooth as the other pheno, but I still love it, very good for joints.

I hope ya like the smoke report and feel free to ask any questions ya have about the smoke. Now I am about to start 12-12 for my next grow and am growing orange bud much differently than any previous time. I am shooting for minimun of 3 ounces per plant, and have been super cropping the plants since they rooted. I also let the plants get bigger root systems this time before the last transplant, and since they are super cropped I was able to let them veg longer in the final pots. I also moved from 3 gallon round to 7 gallon square pots. They fit like a dream and I actually have more room now hehe. I am running the same lights as before, but this time, along with super cropping, I am going to do a SCROG grow in room 2(CFL/UFO Room). I think it is going to help me control the sativa in the orange bud and help me get larger yields. If it works well I will do the same next time in the bigger room. This way I can also see how the orange bud does with just being super cropped and both super cropped and grown SCROG.

I know I have way more experiance than someone who said "the genes are as good as the grower" Your crazy ask anyone that question. I have amazing genes and then Dutch Passion which makes crappy almost flavorless head ache weed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
