Quit sticking your finger two layers deep. You tear roots and possibly allow pathogens or bacteria in. Lift the pot to gauge when it needs water. You can also let dry until it droops and note how long it take. It won't hurt it. It will grow stronger roots.

The shot glass died. I pulled one out to grow for real so that puts me down to 4. I should do pics of my min hydro someday.

I quit going down deep. I really didn't want to harm it. But it is growing fast I have gotten my pre flowers and now I am getting the red hairs coming out. I switch a couple of days ago to 12/12 and started seeing the red hairs. Still a learning process with me. But what are the best lights to have when getting it to flower.
