So, I'd like to know how much water you all use.

I have each option set up per 1000W of lighting power per day.

So, if you have 1000W HPS, and you water 2 gallons per day, then you select 2 gallons per day.

If you have 600W MH and you water 3 gallons every other day, then you water 1.5 gallons per 600W per day which is 2.5 gallons per 1000W per day. 1.5/600 = X/1000, X=2.5

If you're having trouble with the math, just ask me.

I have 1000w in a 4x4 grow tent with 4 ladies. I water each plant one gallon of water EOD. 12-16 gallons of water per week.

Way too many variables.. Soil, coco? Small pot, large pots etc.
Not really. Pot size carries with it a reasonable estimate of the amount of lighting power above it. The point of this is nothing more than "How much water do you use." I'm not trying to learn how to grow. I already know how to do that. I am only curious about water consumption.

The amount of light you have has absolutely nothing to do with how much water you use.
Yeah.... it absolutely does. So, lets make an assumption for a second. This assumption is going to be what @Tyleb173rd said above. 12-16 gallons per week over 1000W. If I scale a grow up to 10,000W, under the same conditions, with 4 plants per 1000W, I will be using 10x the water because I have 10x the plants.

Just because one person uses said amount doesn't make it set in stone or correct for everyone. As corso said their are simply too many variables. Some strains drink more. Some mediums dry out quicker. Size of the pots and size of the plants matter. No correct answer here.

And if you gather data from everyone, what you will find is an average. That average will be a good starting point for anyone doing this for the first time or switching to this or that.

Seriously, is it that hard to answer a simple question? I'm not asking how much water for this or that media or what the fuck ever. I asked a simple, easy to answer question.

I water 12 1000s with around 120 gallons of water every other day in a late flower. So 5 gallons a day.

The same plants will get 120 gallons every 3rd day for veg and early flowering. So 3.33 gallons a day.

That is one caveat I did not consider strongly. >4 would be the average of the two...

People, he is trying to collect data. He's not trying to say you should use a certain amount of water per 1000. He simply doing research. Just answer the question regardless of all factors that could change it.
