Here is my high limit switch, you could also easily jump it....buuuuuut, you may not wake up the next morning if you do that...you risk losing your house , family, you

I know...dusty as fuck...colorado is just nasty when it comes to air...really dry and dusty...people that live east of the springs is worse

I'm planning on getting mine done here within a couple months. ..before we start running AC all day during summer

Also, stay on top of filter changes...some filters say every 3 months. ..bs ..not here in colorado. ..and kids and a dog...I get the cheapos and change em every month

Plus...look at the good 3m ones as opposed to the cheaper ones. ..true they are thicker but they also hinder air flow

@Bose , is this what yours looks like...these are the most common ones I've seen ...I haven't taken mine out but I'm pretty sure it's like that.

Yes to the average joe..they take the doors off their furnace they are lost in the sauce

Takes a little bit of patience
I only attempt to fix things that I'm certain I can do without jeperdizing the familys safty. Actually at the same time I replaced two carbon monoxide alarms. Lol.

It was not expensive I think $10 my girl picked it up.

Exactly and they charge anywhere from $60 to $100 for a service call to replace one

and it took you what 10 minutes at most ..if you are really high 10 minutes..or something else 4 hours

money hungry bastards

My furnace at the new place knocks when it shuts off, forced hot air.. Sounds like the ducting is expanding/contracting.. Then 20-23 seconds later another bang same tone..

Should I zip an L bracket to the panels doing this?

With youtube, I do most of my work unless it is really risky. They were going to charge 275 to change out a capacitor. I found a video how to change one and then the part, which was like 5 bucks. Then on top of it, they always do a 75 call charge even if they don't do any work. .
