Actually, I didn't fall into anything. I thought what you intend for people to think when they read it. Not everyone watches South Park.

maybe the experienced people feel theyv absorbed all the info they need so they have no need for the site anymore

I don't think it's that... most of the veteran members were here for each others' company, not just to get information from people..
that's kinda true... i generally only look for threads by friends on the site.... unless its a real interesting title or something...

let the people come, let some stay, let some go. When I first started on a paintball forum a few years back I joined up to learn things. True to my name, I learned and learned and learned, and about 18 months later I was on the mod squad.

And when I say I started out knowing nothing, I looked back and LAUGHED at the questions I had asked, they were so ignorant and foolish.

I understand also that this is an adult forum for adults only, and that the smoking and cultivation of marijuana is only for adults or those with parental consent (I read prop 215, a minor with parental consent can get his card just like I can at 18)

Some people come purely to start shit and get people pissed off, some people come here ignorant, some people come here to learn.

Personally, I came here to learn, and now I spend all my time in toke N talk because I enjoy the camaraderie and open atmosphere.

One topic that does need to be addressed is all this "fuzz calling." I understand that since I'm not a grower I don't need to be as worried as some other members of this site, but seriously, it IS a marijuana forum, and some people will join purely for the purpose of meeting other tokers. Now if they want to do it in person, I understand why we would be shady and reluctant.

I propose this: Instead of immediately calling "5-0" on these new members, we simply make it a policy that if forumers want to meet up with other forumers, they can do that on their own time, using private messages and emails.

Marijuana is a risky business to talk about publicly, and it is great that the country we live in allows us to have websites like this one, where we can talk freely and not worry about arrest.

Instead of attacking new members with stupid questions, let's try to welcome them, if we accuse them of being the fuzz, they'll be mad at us, and we'll be untrusting of them. Lets all just spark up and kick back. Welcome in the new members and try to gently point them in the right direction.
