So I'm looking for the best way when cutting down plants to cut fan leafs off. Basically should I cut off all leafs right at time of cutting to improve on quality of flower or should I let it dry for a day or 2 then cut all leafs off and then finish drying. Looking for best result and method to why you think your way is the best for flower quality, smell, smoke and so on.

What has worked for me is, on day of chop. Strip all big fans and any severe yellowing or burnt leaf material (sometimes thats just a tip here and there). Branch the plant out and hang on string lines. I try to leave as much leaf as i can on the buds. Depending on drying conditions hang for 7-10 usually for me. Then do your final trim.

I harvest the plant then trim what I can then hand the branches in a drying box that has a fan with carbon filter pulling the air out and intake holes at the other end. This way I get a nice slow dry. I finish them of when they are ready to come out of the box.
I prefer to trim wet.

Steakfingers- the technique you should use depends on your location and it's environment.

I've found that if I strip anything off the plant it will dry too fast. But, that's out on the dry dusty plains. In Mississippi i bet wet trim is the only option.

How's your humidity?

Pretty close to the coast?

I'd bet that you would do fine trimming most of the big leaves and leaving bud(sugar) leaves on while the plant dries.

Ultimately you want the buds to dry as slowly as possible. You will have to experiment until you get it right for your drying location.

First harvest coming up?(no insult meant by this, just curious)

Like my 6th but I have gotten real good mabye it's been more idk. I usually harvest 4 ft monster shrubs and like to get more opinions since I'm new to the site. I also want as pro flowers as I can get since I believe I'm still a novice, I'm told people think my smoke is fire but I wouldn't know since I don't smoke anymore

I always dread trimming! It takes forever, I just wanna smoke! lol

I usually trim immediately after chop, just to get it done and over with. I have tried waiting leaving some leaves on to let droop down, dry and trim. I don't like doing that.

I trim at all stages shit just takes too long but I prefer to trim dry or just about dry. But I get retarded with trimming I get every single leaf close as possible meanwhile every bag I see from elsewhere is always half assed trim jobs.

Last year I stopped smoking and just dabbed. My lungs got soooo much better but my tolerance went through the roof.
I would smoke girlscoutcookes and shit and it would feel like I was smoking the Mexican dirt I used to get when I was 15
