I did try mh I really don't see a great deal of different

Buy my research I found that mh is lower in lumens than hps. That's from what I read. I have not tried it yet. I saw my friend useing two mh 1000 watt. But he has a lot going on. I'm small. Don't want to get to big.

I just find them to run very hot you have to place them a long way from the top of the plant

Yea. In my 36"x36"x7' box. I'm running a 200 cfm inline fan. And two fans in side on the bulb. The temp is 70 degrees. On a 12/12

Because of temp here I run 4x10 inch fans that are 1019 cfm each
