HAHA i was gonna say wholly cow get new filters!! :)
Yeah! I've never actually changed my original filter coz Im happy with the tap.

If my friends use a RO machine with EC1.2 tap water (filthy, wouldn't even brush my teeth with it) would they get EC 0.0 like I do/did?

oh yeah its rare to get over 2-3ppm with RO regardless of your freshwater EC levels.. that is unless its really shitty shitty water... i heard recently flints water when filtered still isn't comng out clean .. so thats a obvious exception .. but as long as its not a situation like that theres no worries it will filter.. 1.2 is high but the filter only allows so much to pass.. I'm sure they will want to keep on a regular schedule of filter changing

if your really worried about any residual some systems even incorporate UV light... a bit extreme if you ask me but i guess if you want our water thats the way now

I'm at 8500 feet above sea level and the tap water comes from underground aquifers.

The tap tastes much better than bottled water up here

oh .. HA bottled water ... most bottled water carries a higher PPM level than tap.. I've tested bottled water before from 250-350ppm ..

I tested bottled water and got between 40 and 50 ppm. Is your water bottled in Flint Michigan? :)

HAHAH no lol.... but it is i believe bottled in grand rapids it was i wanna say disani or however you spell it ....
I think ovo is right. Makes a difference whether it was disliked or "spring". All I know Is I'm quite happy not using RO or bottled water anymore. My RO system only held like 2.2 gallons of filtered water at a time. Id have to collect for a few days to get enough.
