Soldiers Co Op Outdoor thread

Well, gave up hunting used and cut off sections of cages and bought a roll of 11.5 gauge 8 foot tall 330' long game fence to make my cages, and fully enclose the side yard, and if there's some left over, a bigger hog run, and goat run. All I can say is holy fuck that shit ain't cheap to buy new!!
 
My general plant is, the 200s will get partly filled, then the 10 gallon pot put into it, with an inner cage inbetween the 10, and 200 gallon smart pots, then an outer cage just on the inside of the side wall, so that the pot is both held up by the wire, and its embedded into the soil so more stable. then entire pot filled. Probably going to have to run lights a few hours to keep em in veg Going to get 10' rigid EMT for supports, prob 4 per plant, and I have some 8' bamboo as well to use up.

Hey papa I understand why you want both cages, but why leave the plant in the 10 gallon pot? Why not go directly transplanted into the 200?
 
transplanting outta the ten gallon smart pot (in my mind) is going to be a bear to try to do without damaging the roots. Figure no transplant shock by leaving it in the ten, and the roots will grow right thru it.

yea, they are a nightmare trying to transplant outta...biggest I like to attempt is 5 gallons, and about 80% the time, seems to really slow em down doing it. Although, I suppose I could cut them off, I doubt they will be good for a second season anyway.

Cool, ok. Never used smart pots so didnt know. Good to learn these things beforehand :)
 
I cant seem to find the link, but there's a nother video that was done by them I believe that documents some hidden valleys/slopes in china that are are still untouched ecosystems (although under heavy pressure by climate change) - so many untold varieties of the original plants that the have been imported and cultivated now for generations.
