@Queece it seems counter-intuitive to run 99% RH at 90F, but I guess the main danger is temperature drop and massive condensation. That's a big danger though, catastrophic. I don't know, it seems weird in a number of ways. But I suppose terrestrial plants evolved for many hundreds of millions of years under similar conditions. My experience corroborates that high temps suppress mold/mildew, as long as the conditions are maintained. It seems hard to keep a room at 90F and 99%RH, but in the right location it could be easier than keeping a room supplied with fresh air. You could really go for it with a CO2 burner during the light cycle, and a simple heater at night, without so much costly HVAC. Seems that a big challenge would be to keep the walls and ceiling hot enough so you don't get massive condensation dripping down. Way to destroy a house. But if in the right setting, if it turns out to be easier than maintaining the 72F-75F/50%-60% sweet spot (works for me), and yields more and better, then sheeeit yhea. Of course I am assuming that genetics are a major factor here, for getting desired results. But who knows, maybe an Afghani billygoat would love the Jungle. The tropical haze loves the mountain. Worth a shot.
I'm not sure where he gets his info, but this is a VPD chart. You want to keep your growroom conditions in the green part of the chart, so read down the left to find your operating temp, then read across to the green box, then up to find the target RH at that temperature.

Notice that ideal VPD DOES change with temperature. Notice also that ideal VPD never comes close to 99%. And why should it? A plant can't transpire in a steam room, so why build one for it?!

I suppose that I am weaning my self off hps rather than going cold turkey. She's been good to me since 1989 and holds a place in my heart ;-)
I understand sentimentality. I tried the dual source thing for similar reasons. The plants were not feeling it, in the slightest.

90F and 99% doesn't sound good to me either. I can list why. But I am alert and curious when people like medicropper who have been documenting their work make a statement that they got 4lbs per light in the insane conditions. I can't claim it doesn't work because I haven't tried it. yes there are obvious downsides.There are so many inherent risks that even if it yields great results I wouldn't want to grow like that. But short of discussing details, fact checking, asking questions and providing data, the conversation is a non-starter.

Look you fucked up by saying 90-100 percent RH. No big deal. Stop trying to bend it in your favor. You don't even practice what your preaching your grow is a few pages back. Which is a way better garden then i thought i was going to see, but your not practicing huge RH.

I like the chart. Good visual. It sure beats the vpd calc algebra I read on the internet earlier, which quickly gave me a headache.
