brown spots? ahhh

so my plants (2) were very healthy looking for a quite a while. then all of a sudden, these brown spots started to form. im in soil, the temperature is about 77 degrees, and i rarely give my plants nutrients. i think its cause i just watered, but the humidity was at 77%. normally though, it hovers between 30-50

i did a pH run-off test just before the plants started to go bad, and they had a pH of about 7.1 and 6.5.

i have been using molasses in the water, but ive been using vinegar, baking soda, or hydrated lime to fix the pH. do you think there is a build up of nutrients, and i should flush them out with straight (unaltered pH) water from the tap? i also have brita water, that i might use instead in this particular case

i think im going to go out and buy some pH up/down right now. what should the next step be?

no one can help?
im pretty certain its nute burn. i balanced my water's pH with lime to a pH of 7, and then i did a small flush of about .75 gallons a few days ago, so i think there is just way too much lime in my soil. im flushing with plain, straight from the tap water.

if this isnt the right approach, someone chime in please.

stay away from hydrated lime, that stuff is way too hot! use dolomite lime next time, it won't burn your plants.

I mean it will burn your plants, just like too much nutes, not literally temperature wise! When I first started growing I bought that stuff and lost a couple tomato plants, they just got fried, I switched to dolomite lime and have had no problems since.

hhaha damn. i bought 6 lbs. of the stuff since the local place on campus only had hydrated. i guess ill just use it when i know i have some sort of calcium or magnesium deficiency, but in very small amounts now. im learning as i go. important lesson here is to keep things simple.
