If you are running CO2, doesn't that mean you'll want a closed system?
So, a good exhaust setup isn't the answer - a strong air conditioner is
Pretty sure 18 gavitas is too much for that room. 20x30 with 8 foot ceilings. Roughly 17,000.00 for the split systems. Don't forget about the burner heat. Or the 2 burners and their heat.Im currently building a 600 square foot room that will have 18 1000W DE gavitas in it. My question is whats the best way to cool a room that size with that amount of heat output from the lights. My ceilings are 8' and I will be running CO2 so heat tolerance can be higher.
You'll get junk for 8 grand to cool 18 of those lamps.Right and I was thinking an ac unit but I don't know what's a good brand. I have about 8000$ to spend on the cooling system and I don't want junk.
What would you recommend to cool a room that size? Give me any suggestions you have, thanksYou'll get junk for 8 grand to cool 18 of those lamps.
I wouldn't run that much heat in that space. However 2 5 tons a/c's is close to enough. What would you recommend to cool a room that size? Give me any suggestions you have, thanks

Yes I'm talking 2 5 ton split systems. The worst thing that could happen which happens to quite a few is that they try to put the same amount of DE lamps in their room that they had in single ended bulb set ups. Their not ready for the heat. Happened to a guy i know. He ran 12 single ended lamps then went gung ho and bought 12 gavita fixtures. He is the first to tell ya he fucked up. He has that gavita controller and it turns him down to like 680 watts i believe he said. He also has a 4 ton air conditioner and has 9 foot ceilings. I wish you great things though, just make sure your research is rock solid. Are you talking 2 5 ton mini splits or ??

Well they're both units of energy.Ive always went with 6k btu for every 1k of lighting. To each is own GL.

Also consider that hopefully these 1kW lights aren't producing 1kW of heat! They're lights afterall!
