thats where a stoner will be a stoner and say, "why grow, spendin all this money when I can pick it up for free". Eventually your growers wont grow. Dont get me wrong, that would be great. Just theres not enough growers for supply and demand. trust me!

thats humbolt. Most places on this earth have one Main Harvest. Veg indoors and you can have OD harvest's all year long. I thought we were talking about quality meds?

I don't know why you are under the impression that outdoor is not as good as indoor. Probably because you grow mostly indoor. Proper care insures that outdoor is better every time. You can veg and flower outdoor all year long! It doesn't seem like you have a lot of experience growing outdoors... even stoners know that if no one grows it, no one smokes it. I know people in Arkansas, that pull a 5 lb. harvest every three weeks 365 days a year, of some of the dankest Skunk around. They have committed to giving 1.5 lbs from every harvest once this thing gets under way, and they don't have any indoor facilities at all! they live in tents in the middle of a field. Indeed, the trainwreckxWhiteFrost in the pix in my journal came from them....

Shit, even living smack dab in the middle of Sacramento California I know a couple that pull a perpetual 2 ounce harvest every month in there back yard!

This program is set to Start here in Cali, where it is more realistic that it will work out. And then spread slowly (even though demand will be extremely high, whats wrong with a waiting list?)

Growers will already know that if they stop growing, there won't be any to pick up, so they won't stop.

What is your perpetual harvest again bleezy?

not angry.... not angry at all... I am actually starting to like bleezy a lot. He would be the kind of person to point out any foreseeable problem...

Edit: Though this thread has gotten way out of Focus.... and that is probably why it is a little bit hard to follow.

One other thing... it will only be MASSES enrolled patients that qualify, that will get the free meds. You don't just call in or show up with recomendation in hand and get free herb, without being a MASSES member, you wouldn't even know where to go, let alone have the info you need to get it.

Part of the reimbursement/operating money will come from gov and corp grants, and part from donations, and part from MASSES members that don't qualify for free meds, they will just pay cheap prices. The reimbursement to the growers will be based on what they contribute, and how they grow.

Just because you give me your personal assurance that your indoor set up won't cause a fire, doesn't mean that a certified electrician will agree with you. People that just do inspections all the time will help insure that everything is properly maintained, and let you know when things need to be replaced before they need to be replaced. Reimbursements will cover Part of set up costs (just a part though, unless the entire crop is to be donated), and cover partial to full price of replacement parts. Growing both outdoor and indoor simultaneously, tons of different strains.

Im not saying that this isnt a HUGE amount of work, nor that it will be easy, nor that some people won't be paying for some things out of pocket (like myself for example).... I'm saying it will work, and will be done.

Only reason I pull 6oz off each is that I buy 2 ft seedlings sexed. They run $55 each, I buy 12. Then I can perpetual close to 72. Since I normally veg 8 weeks + for clones. Thats with mine, and my brothers setups. But that only works buy droppin $660 every other harvest on seedlings. I have a huge OD right now, it just started to flower, I put it out in march.. How the crap do you perpetual OD without force flowering? Theres glitches in the proposal that wont work just by reading it.

you don't... you have to force flower. But there are extremely good ways to do it though.

Would you be able to afford to donate maybe like 1 oz per plant?

exactly force flowering cannot be done perfectly no matter what you say. That cause's stress. I guarantee the lumens in my closet are much higher than in winters around sac town. Yea I would be able to, but I would have to get pass the fact that by me donating 1 oz per plant, thats $4800 potentially out of my pocket. :twisted:
This wont attract the quality grower, since they are doing it for profit. They invest time, money and their brains, they probably wont just give it away.
What about some sort of funding for growers, so price caps in dispensaries can be lowered, since production cost would drop to the grower?

well, check it out, that 1 zip per plant you donate: you will be compensated for the electricity, soil, and nutes for. That way your not completely screwed out of the profit you would have otherwise got. Figuring out the charts etc. of how to reimburse for just that much in light, soil, and nutes is the hard part. Wouldn't it be more worth it then?

i think people will keep to them selves. The way it is now, is the way people want to keep it. Its perfect for the huge operations, and the home grower. As you know marijuana is the biggest cash crop, people dont grow this shit just to get high. 1 zip pays well over costs to run the system. Thats why It would be hard to part with the other 5.

yeah. He is right, and it is very simply because of the business aspect of it that it is illegal. Don't get me wrong, I don't want you to go to prison for it at all! That would be horrible. But selling it, profiting off it, that will get you to prison, :(. the only violence that I know that is associated with cannabis is when it comes to the money value of it.

So what your doing right now is a failure? Just because it can happen doesn't mean it will. Means you won't go to jail unless you get caught.... means program won't get shut down if enough of the right people are involved.... MMJ is such a mess these days, look at SB 420, its limits are unenforceable by the way, so hope thats not what your limiting yourself to.

LOL!! What are you talking about?? I'm just not denying the law thats all does not mean I don't grow bud! No its not a failure we need to stay active with medi pot if there is ever any hope for legalization. The Drug War is a failure and yes we can still go to jail even in wonderful California:cry:
