LP's are not able to provide a specific strain for individual patient needs, nor are they affordable. I think there will be other options...at least I hope there will for those that need it.They could rewrite dg rules so only lp type facilities are able to produce meds for patients as a dg.
Watch for it, that's the only way they can keep lp's happy until rec is legal.
I bet the rec lobby just got louder and is having cash tossed at it from every direction now so there is a quick change in law.
I agree. That's why I believe all lp's will be throwing loads of cash at the rec lobby. The decision only concerns them in the grand scheme of things. It doesnt ensure that they stay satisfied until things are w;rked out. Its called capitalism
If they force people to go with an LP the provider would have to make it affordable which would impact their bottom line dramatically, then the LPs would be screaming for legal rec to bring up the numbers so maybe it will serve to speed the a libs up a bit. So imho they can't force patients to go to the LPs if it's too costly. They may also require patients to show proof of financial hardship in order to grow their own or have a DG...who knows. Have to wait for the small print. It's my assumption because people will be allowed to grow their own so access is there.
The hitch is keeping lp's satisfied during the forced changes and decreased revenue. There will be some who go under because of this.
I'm speculating, but it's easy to assume new dg rules could force people who choose a dg to use an lp type who is federally licensed to "guarantee" the "quality" and "safety" of meds. (That's how it would be packaged and sold to the general public).
It will help lp's get through until rec is legal. Which, still has no timeframe. I'm sure this ruling will speed up the process because friends of the party have much to lose if rec doesn't come quick.
I don't think it will be too far off now.True but the liberals have said legalization is years away. So basically too bad so sad for them. They get to eat some humble pie after thinking theyd corner the market. Now they can sit and wait unhappily as we smile at their misfortune
Much like the position patients have been in since the MMPRs inception. Theres literally nothing they can do but wait for legalization. Oh how the tables have turned
Not for those who choose a dg, it won't.making the LP's the DG's is not changing anything that's what the mmpr was and that is what we just beat
