7 year old Super ice pollen,, wonder if its viable?

I was going through my gardening shit and came a crossed some my old pollen from 2009,, ( Super ice) i had it stored in a ziplock and that was in a plastic container.. so I figured I would try it out,, I wiped a good healthy amount on two buds on my Endless sky plant#3 and tide string on them to keep track

Very cool experiment. If you get seeds, it'll be awesome. I'd save some pollen to backcross with a few times to bring back and stabilize that old strain's traits.

Ive heard it only lasts several months in the freezer. Let us know if it works.

I dont have much faith the pollen will take,, but I'm tryin to he optimistic,, I grew one of the parents of the superice this season( Supergirl) but wasnt satisfied with her yeild,, she was really frosty though.

if it was well frozen and still dry..i there may be a possibilty 1 or 2% of the pollen is viable

Its been one week, nothing yet,, the sour diesel pollen took though, I'm happy with that,,

An old timer told me the best way to store pollen was in paper bags cold and dry / dark but as long as it stayed dry i bet its still as good . Every time i use the fridge or any condensation prone storage i always loose more beacuse of small volume of pollen i have .. hope to see some good results from the sky pollen.

I'm hoping it took,, so far I don't visibly see any seeds on plant#3.. It's almost ready to harvest so i'll know for certian in afew days,, the plants I hit with the sour diesel pollin did take, ive found four seeds of them so far. i'll be bumbed alittle if I dont get any super ice x endless sky seed's
