I mixed it right in in my SUBCOOL recipe and let it sit like it said, but not in the sun. (Uv kills myco but if it has carbohydrates in the soil it will gro without the plant roots to feed it.)
When I went to dump it out of the container it was a big spongy mass of white, really thin roots. I've been using it in my grow and 3weeks into flower seen no nute deficiency. But be sure to feed them molasses water so they can do they're job.
It's like a premade root system and i set my seedlings right into the 4gallon container.
The male I killed had an amazing root system utilizing every crumb of soil. I had to repot the female to give her more room using the same mix.
Sorry for the ramble I've been pre inoculating my vegetable garden with myco and feed it with alfalfa and corn meal tilled in for decades.
