Is it possible to use 5cxbs 3590s with 5 foot ceiling without bleaching plants.
Sorry if it is a dumb question. Im about to start my first grow.

Should be fine. The higher the current the higher the lights will need to be. If you are worried about the height than make sure you use a dimmable driver

Most likely. Depends on strain, veg time, plant size and training techniques. You should be able to have CXB3590s, depending on your current, anywhere from 10" - 22" depending on needs.

you might consider using cxb3070s with your height restriction.. The smaller LES gives a more even distribution, and since they are cheaper you can afford to run more of them at a lower current. They can be closer to the canopy.

In a different thread it was mentioned that the 3070 series might have more intensity where the 3590 had more spread due to the same number of diodes but a more compact layout.

never heard that one. the LES size of either cob is much smaller than the distance between cobs. so that doesn't make any sense to me.

a cxb3590 produces more light than a cxb3070 at the same current. I suggested running the 3070s at a lower current and using more of them.

First couple pages here discuss this
oh I see yeah I read that discussion. but no, the difference in the les size won't spread the light out enough to make a diff. I don't believe that the 3590 and the 3070 has the same number of diodes either.

If there is no difference than why use the 3070?

Bonjour
I have a 4.5 tall tent amd cxb3590 @1400mA and no problems!
Ok I do lst and training but I was able to let the plant as close as 8in...!
So find low profile and long container (plastic box you put under bed are very low and long!...and cheap!) I bought some 7.5gl (16x32x6.3in)...I save height where I can!

My micro cab has a height of 29". Dimming comes in handy and I run about 6-9" away from two cxa3070 ab bins. In 3gal smartpots

sure, you can use 2 or 12 in that space. people need to understand the fundamentals before bombarding the site with the same generic question day in and day out

OP go here:

Im about to drop 2000 on a setup. So im going to ask questions bro that what the forum is for. To learn and ask questions.
And the thread you posted was on page 445 of an unrelated thread topic so how tf was i gonna stumble across that.
So stay tf out my thread tammy peterson.

I think what Bobby_G meant was that your question would have been better asked in the thread
IF you are new to LED and want help choosing what to buy, POST HERE!

which is what he gave you the link for. It saves the forum being turned into a thousand pages of simple beginner questions. People normally start their own thread when they have their build started to show it off and/or ask/answer questions. There are tons of knowledgeable guys around who will help you out so you're in the right place. You will likely get alot more help if you post in that thread.

^this

im going to (and i encourage others to) not answer general questions like this, forward them to that thread, and let the question thread fall off the board.

OP, that may seem like 445 pages of 'unrelated' info, i guarantee at your level of understanding you will learn something on every single page of that thread

Wooow!!! 2000 what?...pesos another weak money!???
You do not talk about US$!? I hope!
It will cost you 420 $...350 $ for 200w...for 250w you will need one more chip 45$ and a driver who cost 70$ instead of 50$(in kb)
Less than 500$ in every case!
