As a Supreme Court Justice he never did anything worthwhile for minorities, as matter of fact the man served on the bench for nearly 30 years and had a dismal record while on it.

I tune often to FAUX for my morning cartoon viewing and they're saying Obama wants to appoint an SCJ to replace Scalia by executive action, yet I saw the news at the restaurant I was at with my wife celebrating Val's day (it's gonna be crowded as hell today, and I'm not feeling long lines and wait time).
But I heard "nominate" and "Senate confirmation" I might have heard wrong cause the restaurant was loud but damn if I ever heard "executive action".
Isn't FAUX suppose to be fair and balanced? Guess it was feeding time at the zoo so they had to throw a little red meat to the haters.

obama will appoint someone and the right will either have to confirm and skew the court to the left or they block and guarantee a huge democratic turnout in november.
either way they're fucked. bernie and hillary should team up and lay the gomer mash down, "block the president's choice and if one of us is elected, we'll nominate obama!"

That is correct. He was known for his well thought out, well written dissensions. Amazing the outpour of respect and grief from not only those that knew and loved him for the bright witty man he was but as one of the best Supreme Court justices.Scalia was the smartest justice. He was one of the few honest ones. He would often vote in favor of things that he personally disagreed with on a policy basis because it was constitutional.
Sotomayor would never vote against her personal policy, most justices don't.
None of you guys rejoicing in this great American's death would be fit to wipe the shit off of his ass.
If Obama has any sense of fairness he will appoint someome who could be a swing vote. Someone who is neither left or right. I don't want a court that is a rubber stamp for liberal or conservative ideology.
All TV networks no matter their political leaning are showing great respect for this wonderful man INCLUDING the Communist New Network.

That was his strength unlike some of the dumbasses sitting up there now like Sotomayor. But what and who else would you expect from a person like Obama who uses the constitution for butt wipe?
