How cold are the floors of the basements out there? I know the concrete slabs here get cold as shit.

Are you planning on keeping pots in the floors?

And @ODanksta what light controller so you have?

Any recommendations for a good light controller?

I had the autopilot 8000w box but I need a new one. Not to much hands on with controllers.

It's a beautiful thing when you go get the right people to do the right job he gave you a dedicated circuit for your op.

You're a smart man getting a pro to do the job, you got what you paid for... Peace of mind!

It sure is Honda ???? you know what phase this might be :) would love your expert opinion being your a fucking Carpenter and only thing you plug in is a skill Saw haha gallery_11738_4816_448752.jpg gallery_11738_4816_154523.jpg gallery_11738_4816_454394.jpg

Does work like that. The amount of amps you have coming into your house isn't equal to your box size holmes. That's why you can put 500 amps in a 100 amp box and 1000 amps in a 200 amp box
I'm a electrician and your so wrong right here it's funny. Stop giving electric advise. The wire size ALWAYS corresponds with the amps in breaker. No if and or buts about it.

I'm not sure who you directing your question to because you have my thread but you're asking Honda to answer, but anyway what you have there is 2 contacters 208/3 phase with either a 120 or 240 control, can't see the coil so that part is unclear. If you put a meter between L1 & L2 you get 208 volts, between L2 & L3 you get 208, and finally L1 & L3 you get 208 and if you go from each line to ground you get 120v when the coil gets energized it pulls in the contactor (the two small electric lines behind L1,2,3) that is my forte piece of cake that is called control wiring, I say that's 120v control. You have a timer and that must mean your lights or fan if it's for your grow op.

Finally a pro who knows his shit, Thank You! But I differ in that it's funny, with advice like that someone just might do what he said and burn their house down.

@Blunted 4 lyfe you talking about this circuit?simple_inverter.gif

That is a dc to ac inverter circuit. You guys are funny.

And I said that was a 3phase Wye system.

This shit is stupid. I said exactly what @Carolina Dream'n said. The max amp is determined by wire size.

Not everyone puts good wire in their house. It costs a lot and isn't needed.

The box and all the fuses in a house are for that house.

Why would contractors use the max amps from the main when it's not needed.

If you old fucks would listen. @Blunted 4 lyfe @2ANONYMOUS

Why would Fuse for 400a in a house that will do just fine on 100a. The answer is you wouldn't waist money because that said house doesn't need it.

I will go back to my orginal statement. You can drop a bigger amp box on an older house.

The previous wiring has nothin to do with it. You will be putting all new circuits on their own breakers.

You never mentioned anything about wire size, I did, you just said you can replace a 100a box with a 200a box don't try to change shit up now. You're advice sucks, you don't know what a main was so I'll stick to what I said that you don't know shit!
Stick to carpentry you're out of your league.

You can just change out the box. Most main can handle 400a. You have to get a second main dropped if you are over 400a.
Dude I said it right here. That is most mains coming in are big enough in size to support 400a

What's that @Blunted 4 lyfe ?

Whats a main again?

You are right tho. The size of the main wire leading in your house is what dictates amp load.
Then I agreed and restated myself.

I think you need to actually read what I'm saying before attacking me.

And you can just drop in a fucking bigger fuse, as long as you have not exceeded the max amps on the main electrical drop to your house.
