power supplies, fans, and heatsink can be reused. Screws are usefull, I'd throw the rest away, including the case.

So deffinetly the fans the heatsink seems pretty small I'm wanting a cob for a 4x2 area and maybe run 4x 3590s so was looking at a 4 ft long heatsink I could hook up the 3 fans for some active cooling is that rite ? and what drivers would be ideal do you think ?

Actually why not use the case... It'll have proper earthing... One cxb cob per driver a nice soft 600ma .,.. 3070 3500k BB from cutter with holders only 150aud.. So about 100us ... Cheap conversion for roughly 15k lumens...

You will need to add some small leds to bring the Vf to to the min. Vf of the driver which is 45v so around 5-8 per driver

Just saying those led drivers will each power 2 Vero18 cobs. It wouldn't be much more light than a single CXB3070 but you wouldn't need to add extra leds to increase the voltage.

Ah ok yeah I get you, im thinking 4x 3590 for a 4x2 space although the drivers are pricey can I also use all the connectors out of this old led to save soldering ?

The case is usable if that's the layout that you want. Previously I tried to fit some other Chinese cases from failed lights, and it turned out to be a big headache fitting in an upgraded heatsink and the new cobs (vero18s) to the tight dimensios of the case. Much much easier to get one long heatsink and build the light to my own dimensions (one 3' to 4' long light).

Yeah not sure about using the case like I said a 3 or 4 foot long heat sink would work better for me I think and my space thanks thought

Just curious. Has anyone fooled with a blue lumigrow or original 357 magnum? Huge heat sinks and both have screaming fans. Looking for something to do with these, maybe. Or I could use them for yard art.

For the most part. Depending on what cobs/holders you get you're still going to have to wire the cobs together and the drivers to the cobs.
