Hey guys whats going on.. I plan on doing a low key head stash type of grow... Im very limited with space and plan on making this a stealthy operation. Now if I only plan to grow 3 plants max, what type of lighting should I get? Everything I buy is going to be from Home Depot. including soil and pots.. My friend and I just sprouted two seeds in a simple cup with soil from his mothers garden haha.. The seeds are actually from a nice bag of haze i got from a friend. Hes using a 18" 15 watt florescent bulb and made it all out of a filing box basically.. After seeing the little fellas sprout it really inspired me to grow my own because I know my friend isnt going to take the best care of them.. Sorry for getting off topic, my questions basically are, how tall should my grow box be, what type of light should i get for 2-3 plants, what soil should i buy, and any other tips would be greatly appreciated!

ps - im not looking to mass produce this but i do want the best bud i can grow... its not worth it to me if the bud turns out like regs, id rather spend money on bags if its going to come out crappy, you know? thanks!

do i need the advnaced setups most of you have to get some quality bud?
no you don't. take care of the basics - soil, water, light, nutrients - and you will be fine. get as much light as you can afford - at least 300 watts. water thouroughly then wait till it dries out before you water again. try to use soil that drains well and use fertilzer lightly. read the growfaq and stickies for more info. good luck

Try get a few of these or something like them, i got 4 of them above my plant and intend to have another 2 at the sides bellow the leafs, my plants seems to be doing ok with them, and they dont cost the earth, just make sure you get the right fitting as the one pictured will prob not fit

either fluorescent bulbs or compact fluorescents lights (cfl) will be the best cost benefit tradeoff for your small grow. you want the actual wattage not equivalent, and you'll have to get a few to equal 300 watts. they also are cooler so they're easier to use in a tight space

those are right - it just takes a lot of them to get enough light. less light will work but you won;t get a big yield.

So i could buy a few more light fittings and bulbs but i think the best route is to source higher wattige bulbs that will fit the fittings i have

also, the 300 watts was for his number of plants. the standard is 75 watts per square ft of growing area
