Final review......since it appears people are periodically still stopping by and the fact I hate it when people don't finish threads- here goes:
I guess I went 61 days total although 1 plant was done way early (and cut) and a few of them could have gone another 5-7 days probably. The final weight came in at 40 oz for 23 plants, WAY below my expectations. I'm pretty sure it's because I used M.H. bulbs for most of the grow. I normally use H.P the whole grow, this time I use M.H. in veg and the first 3 weeks of flowering. Then moved to the H.P. but went back to the M.H. the last 10 days. I'm thinking I lost at least 25%-35% weight in the end. There are basically two pheno's, an indica leaning and a sativa leaning one. The indica leaning plants are the keepers, with good weight, solid cola's and higher potency. The sativa leaning pheno's are very light yielding, maybe 1 oz total, not dense at all and quality is lower. Every plant put out a large center cola between 2 and 2.5 ft with a ring of lower colas. There were more sativa leaning plants than the indica ones. The quality is an 8.5/10 potency wise and totally encrusted is resin. I cut when I had about 15% amber and 5% clear, and largely cloudy. Taste and odor is not quite blueberry but definitely in the "fruit" family with a skunky undertone. Interesting taste and smell for sure, much different than the kushes I've been doing for a while.
Summary: A very easy strain to grow with no visable deficiencies or issues. I used 10ml of cal/mag per gallon throughout the grow along with Botanicare Pure-Blend nutes. I normally get at least 60 oz, sometimes a lot more out of the room so this was the lightest yield in my last 8+ grows or so- forget about the M.H. on this strain. I've been getting very good reviews from my friends and the buzz is mostly "heady"....not much body to it. I did not pinch or train the plants at all but I did lollipop them (cut off the bottom 3rd branches) to increase air flow, make it easier to water and reduce dead/decaying leaves. This is a perfect strain to grow a bunch of plants out and pheno hunt to find a good mother- only 35-40% of the plants are indica leaning so you need to grow out enough of them to find the right plant.
I decided to do one more blueberry hybrid the next time up so I chose Big Buddha's "Blue Cheese"......this is more of a proven strain with many awards and consistant good reports including a 10/10 from seedfinder. Thanks to everyone who continued to check in and follow along.
