Plants are sad... Help required

Hi guys,

FIMmed my girl as well as watered her on Thursday, she normally goes to sleep looking tired but perks up every morning, today she just looks sad, i have some canoeing on the new leaves and a bit of clawing...

Running 10x 23w CFL's overhead at about 8 inches and 2 in clamp reflectors, ventilation and temperature seems totally fine, but I'm in central america and even a thermometer is hard to find, she is a bag seed from the BVI.

Anyway, she is not getting fed nutes so i really don't know what she is feeling, maybe a little help, growing in a home made tent, 18/6 in this nicaraguan potting soil mixed with organic compost fertilizer and foliar spray which i haven't used yet. Water is bottled water ph'd to around 6.5-6.8.

Maybe needs a bigger pot? Its my first grow so these things all seem so new for a good guess.

Any help is appreciated, I'm around the computer a lot so can get to answers as quick as they come :)

IMO it looks ok. Could use some aggregate in the soil for drainage maybe. Perlite? Vermiculite? Pea Gravel? And pull the lights back a couple inches wouldn't hurt. Put a fan on her and get some air moving. When I see my leaf edges riffling like that I start thinking I need some more air movement usually due to excess heat.

Edit: And whats chewing off the leaf tips?

Thanks for the reply, chewed tips were from some light nute burn when she was a seedling, i don't have access to anything like that, lava rocks are the best i can get for drainage, unfortunately nicaragua isn't exactly pumping with variety, the soil drains ok, not great but it does drain.

I will pull back the lights to, but she has a fan right next to her and the air circulation seems ok she's constantly moving around in the breeze

Regardless of RH, I would still get a small fan on it and watch your waterings closely. You have some heavy dense soil that will be causing you some watering issues if you give her too much love (over watering). Also, if you can find some old rotted wood that works well for aggregate. Google search what will work well that is native to your area - pH wise that is. If you can, get the stuff that is fluffy and light...preferably without a lot of bugs. You can put it in the oven to get rid of the bugs.

You'll want to use bagged wood chips for your flower bed outside, or maybe your meat smoker. I was suggesting you go to whatever Nicaraguan rain forest has survived deforestation and walk a trail looking for rotted wood. Check out this picture. The soft orange colored heartwood running down the core of the log is what you'd want. You just have to try and scoop up some that doesn't have a lot of termites/ants. Even if it does have bugs, one shot through the oven and they're fried.

You can probably get thru this grow with the soil you have, you just need to watch your waterings. Dense soil holds on to water longer than soil with good drainage. Good luck!!
