Thanks for the fishing lesson but i prefer to go to buy some fish to a good fisherman...like you...!

As if i am over medicated...do you believe that 0.5gr of ash and 0.5gr weed per day is a lot?
I have a friend who smoke 5gr weed everyday for pleasure between 5:00 pm and midnight!
I want to learn...what i could use to do it for me...but i have others numbers in my head for now...i just manage some space for this!!!

If I were you, I would cut back on the ash and up the consumption of weed.
 
Speaking of reflectors:

This was one of my first lights, using a Chinese Purple COB, which I have replaced with Cree CXB3590s and Vero 29s. It is just a cob mounted on a CPU heatsink and fan, but I mounted it up inside a cheap aluminum reflector that I picked up at Walmart of Home Depot. The fan blows down through the heatsink. Mounting it inside the reflector puts more of the light down instead of letting it go sideways and the reflector also profides protection.
 
The tower was my first LED anything, I just got some insight about them years ago, and finally found a real need for them, so I built the tower with a bit of help and guidance from Positivity a few years back.

I know I have the LED layout a bit bunched up in the red/ deep red LED's. Getting it all together and wired up was a task with all of them, and so I did keep some to close for the easy of wiring them up.

If the tower is only 8.5 inch's away from the plant material, I did not see the need for reflectors or the secondary lens, but I do wonder about a even disbursement of the light spectrum to the plant.
So do I use something or just go bare as it is ??????????any help is welcomed on this matter....

It's all I could find on short notice at the time. Not a very easy design to use though since the two halves need to be very accurately positioned to fit snugly around the COB.

Next time I will use the IDEAL Chip-Lok holders instead.

Where can I find aluminum framing like you've used here?

I hope you don't mind the questions as I am putting together my first build and I love your design. Feel free to weigh in on my thread here.
 
It's amazing how expensive heat sinks are. For 3 - 36"(5.886"W), its $220, shipping included.I've searched high and low. It truly seems heatsinkusa.com is the only place to get multiple profile options with custom lengths.
