That's what I thought too....but after being corrected several times I assumed I had it wrong?
No, Imho you were initially right...I view plant carbon structures[ie lignin] far in excess to plant carbon oil structures, even in cannabis...maybe a telltale indicator for example is that pressing full melt dry sift into rosin: this erodes returns down to 20-30 of overall matter, but the THC content rapidly rises....whats left over is a lot of lignin from the dry sift imho....We spoke a shit ton of lignin, which no one ever talks about, [but fuck if I know whether or not it is detrimental to the process in flower smoking or even hash? Point being........the Actual oil content is being whittled down......while plant matter and yes possibly residual oils are left behind, maybe in waxy form?
but hell I am love to be proved wrong...as mentioned above, you are only as good as your standards.....myself working in a lab before, most people could give two shits about how their standards are prepared or their background for that matter....If it calibrates and keeps the lab up and running, that rest tends to be moot in alot of circumstances....So standards too need to be impeccable aka standardized....again just imho
