been there done that (in flower)… my fix was (don't laugh at my binding method) I put some cloneX or Lydia's whatever I was using at the time on the newly exposed area and wrapped it with masking tape… don't even think a leaf yellowed from it plant/branch finished fine. I'm sure theres a better way than masking tape but fuck it worked.

Only thing I would have done different is used a thinner strip of duct tape and gone further up the branch completely covering the split from light and air until you're sure it's healed.

Yes sir. The gut wrenching feeling when you snap a 2 inch branch 3/4 the way down the stock sucks really bad . Specially when no one is around and if you let go of the branch it will totally rip off. Good thing I could reach a piece of bamboo to hold it up while I went and got tape.
Did that with 3 weeks left to go, broke a main i was pissed but it healed, this plant always surprises with its willingness to deal with our shit.

I use the blue tape for minor breaks

I went to Amazon and ordered a 100 pack of alligator clips and then I also bought 30 40 foot of 22 gauge wire some s*** encrypt the water to the alligator clips and then I use the the alligator clip in the wire to hold everything in place and nothing moves and there is no tape involved and works good

Well when I awoke this morning, to my surprise, she looked absolutely fine. As if that branch wasn't just hanging by a thread last night... It may be too early to tell, but one thing is for damn sure, these plants are extremely resilient. :leaf:

I had to leave in a hurry this morning, but I'll be sure to post some pictures when I get home from work, so y'all can see how the situation develops.

Honestly almost the same thing happened to me. And when you only have 2 mamas going it's a kick in the ass. I fimmed early and lst into a " Y" shape with one and than only lst the second one to experiment how this strain will adapt to different techniques. Well (we will call it plant Y) plant y had a fan drop and turn the Y into a ) ( and I almost chopped it down because I thought it was a lost cause. And I'm glad I didn't. The other plant turned male and I got rid of it asap (sensi ftw) now I was stuck with this broken ass plant that was split shocked and I couldn't do anything untill it healed so I was set back by far. I used a Bandaid lol had no tape. And after two to three days she started to explode with nodes. She's still goin strong now and better than ever with a nice rock hard knot at the base. Which allowed me to lst even more without it snapping.

Deffs should shrug it off. If you were really far into flower I would be more worried but if anything it will cause lower branches and nodes to shoot up. In a sense it's almost like an accidental super crop. I will get you a better picture of my split now that she's all healed just gotta wait an hour or so still nap time lol

Yeah man your gunna be fine. If anything this will be beneficial as it will trick the plant into thinking the top that's broken is no longer there so it will try to make up for the loss by shooting out at lower nodes

I'm sure the plant itself will get thru it with no problem, I'm just worried about the actual branch that snapped not making it. I'm on my way home from work right now, I hope everything looks good in there, we'll see. After what amount of time does one get out of the doubt of wether it'll live or just wilt and die? As of now it's been 24 hours since the incident.
