so sometimes my mind wanders when im medicated and i was thinking about drying buds and smell. I thought of this a year ago and it just popped back into my head again for some odd reason so i figured id ask you guys. So i thought that if you had a strain like blueberry or agent orange, lemon skunk, cherry pie, grape, or anything fruity, that you could affect the smell of it while it dries by putting the namesake fruit near the buds to grab some smell hopefully.
Two questions. One, would it work? And two, is that ethical?
So i was thinking maybe drying blueberry or cherry pie on racks with the like fruit under it or sprinkled in with it. Or like orange peels or whatever. The other way i was thinking of infusing the smells was when rehydrating the weed, say like after its hung for too long and dry trimmed, was to rehydrate like i usually do, by putting a damp paper towel in a cup and putting the cup in a cooler full of over dried product, but, using......say, pureed blueberry juice or cherry juice in the cup, or grape soda. Its not really contaminating anything with another substance.
Would it work? Ive never tried it because to me theres a little voice telling me its not right. What do you guys think?

I've never put anything on them like that, I've seen people on this site put orange peels in jars with product and say it works... I'd be too worried about the Peel molding and ruining good product.
That was my fear as well. Thats why i was thinking of doing it in the cup while rehydrating. Grape soda wouldnt mold right?

The cooler, or bin (smaller closed environment) may work if you use an essential oil. Just blended up berries in the room won't shit. It's a lil sketchy but since you're not spraying the buds I wouldn't say it's unethical.

If u want to flash re-hydrate herb- I've done it in the bathtub. Half fill a large plastic bin w hot (steam-action) water, then float a plastic bowl with a few O's of herb, snap lid back on. Listen to a few music tracks, it'll be done in 20(ish) minutes or less.

So you think i should boil some grape drank instead of the hot bath tub water?

Fuck it, use turdy toilet water,
peeps be like, "ooooo tha's sum skunky funk. yum, yum."

Is this entire thread a joke, or are you really trying to rehydrate your herb?
When you have too many plants hanging at once they get dry eventually. Ya cant getem all done on the date of perfect dryness. So us real growers have to rehydrate sometimes or the shit turns to dust in the bag. Just rehydrate like i said in a cooler cause totes dont seal well enough and the buds great again in a couple days with the high humidity encased in the cooler to rehydrate it. Not a joke, and your fucking up my thread.

Don't give me that, "us real growers" bullshit. I deleted my meat farts comment.

I can help you as I'm the original developer of patented procrasticure techniques.

Next time, you want the bins to be able to breathe slightly, so ya don't get mold and you'll still have to burp them and check on em regularly. Maybe fluff em up a bit if they settle. My flash rehydration technique kicks ass, no need to thank me.

Far as the bins, you need to start breaking the stalks down earlier on. Basically do a fast trim and make sure you remove all the fan leaves, then just stack the leads into the bins only about half full so you don't crush everything under their own weight. This can buy you plenty of time, up to extra weeks or more!

don't be an idiot… stagger your grow… if you have 10, 15, 20 plants whatever growing at once and lets say their all 65 days finishers… you do the math, waiting and extra 10-15 days before all plants are trimmed and cured is much better than over dried, hay you'll get if you can't get to em in time.

I've also had a guy say Boveda 62% packs added an extra ounce to his over dried QP… I aint buying that shit!!

ive been going for a month and have a month more probably, the fastest way ive found is hanging the whole plants and doing it the old fashioned way. Ive tried wet trimmers, dry trimmers, bonzai heros, and this is the way it looks the best and smells the best. A whole plant hang trim and rehydration smells almost as good as if you were running one plant and you did it just right.

With as many strains as i have running and with some of them popping the occasional nanner. Plus popping new beans regularly... Ive done staggered harvests plenty of times but when you get a herm or nanners late in the ripest plants, and then all the newly flowering plants get hit with pollen and DO have enough time for the seeds to form...well, no more of that  i just bite the bullet now and getter done. I usually take things down staggered though. Take some five days early, beginning of window, mid window majority, and then the late finnishers and finally the junk bin ;) its still sorta staggered over a couple weeks. And im tellin ya, rehydrating is just great. Ive never had a hay smell if taken at ripe time and hanging the whole plant. One bud stinks up a whole car.
