The string will keep cutting stems. Vine clips work well.

Duct tape fix looks good. As long as the branch doesn't wilt you'll be fine as it heals itself in a few days to week or two.

The string didn't cut it, I accidentally snapped it with too much downward pressure when I was tryin to tuck the branch under another square on the screen.

Yes sir. The gut wrenching feeling when you snap a 2 inch branch 3/4 the way down the stock sucks really bad . Specially when no one is around and if you let go of the branch it will totally rip off. Good thing I could reach a piece of bamboo to hold it up while I went and got tape.
