Great grow man. How do you change the reservoir with that scrog net on?

Thanks dude, and I'm glad you asked.
In every scrog DWC grow I see, people are always saying that the only setback is not being able to take a proper look at your res and roots, because the net is fixed in place and lifting the plant itself would be a challenge.
However, I wasn't satisfied with that, and after a few days of going through various options, I concluded that a simple approach was the best and most effective.
I attached pulleys to the netpot, and also attached elastic string to each corner of the net which allows it to move up/down with relative ease. This way, whenever I lift up the netpot, the net/screen moves up with it accordingly, and stays exactly intact
I'll make a video about it next week when I show the plant in its first week of flowering (switched to 12/12 today).

Why not put a small water pump in there with 1/2 pvc running out the top with a 1/2 boiler drain. Screw on a water hose to the boiler drain, open the valve turn on the pump and boom rez drained in a couple minutes.Thanks dude, and I'm glad you asked.

Attach the same hose to the sink and put the other end in the rez turn it on and boom rez filled in a couple minutes

Me too ! This is what I do. Can be used on a 3gal pot, 5 gal pot, then I move them to 18 gallon containers to finish.

I've been eyeballing these for the same reason except they're obviously not insulated but since i run an rdwc setup, a cooler is not an option

Thank you sir ! One plant I ended up having to put a third level on it due to stretching. Top net ended up being 1 meter sq.

Looks like a great idea, thanks for sharing! -- though I imagine it will become a bit more cumbersome to handle the up and down when your plant is all weaved out wide into the net
Amazing root mass btw, makes me understand more clearly why DWC grown plants do those incredible growth spurts

Cheers dude.
The more your plant is weaved, the easier is actually becomes, due to the fact that that the plant and screen would then act as a sole object. I usually tie them down horizontally over the screen, makes it easier after the initial weave.

just saying i use a drill pump down sight tube to empty bucket and have room to fill from a 5 gal. bucket can see roots tell if ok with out lifting out of bucket in flower (unneeded stress on root ball lifting up) i think mine are heavy

I can tell this method is crazzzzyyyyyy with dwc, or any method for that fact. Nice pics in this thread!
I have ordered a 3.5 inch square net. Its nylon, and thick, and VERY tought. Do you think this is appropriate? Not to hijack. Super excited to try again.

what i do grow plant in veg tent fim the shit out of it let grow huge almost 4 foot tall 3 foot round than move to flower tent and bend branches down put scrog net on fish thew let grow if buds fall over have a top net also but i don't use just use yo'yo's hung from light to hold buds up

The reason I do it this way is because I feel more comfortable checking the entire root mass, plus I can check for any residue inside the bucket. The roots are only exposed for about a minute or two so it doesn't harm them.
Also, I like to have the ability to a) raise/lower my screen with ease to accommodate the plant and b) have the ability to rotate the screen so that I can provide more even light coverage
It was vegged a total of 44 days (excluding the germination), and has been flowering for 12. Should I take the "clean as fuck" comment as a compliment lol?
