I hope they get fatter :)

They are starting going ginger
When will I know it's time to harvest?
Thanks
There is tons of opinions on when to harvest...DO NOT TAKE AND FOLLOW ANYONES "ADVICE" ON THIS SUBJECT. This is your grow and only you can decide when the time is right. Luckily, there is some very clear pictures and examples of trichome maturity available on RIU and other forums. I would post a diagram but I cannot find that file...But, I am sure someone will post one, or you can search for the info yourself. Once you have the info you need, get a microscope and see where your plant(s) are.

Good Luck and Great Growing

About 60% are turning brown

I have watered them today with A&B nutes so next water is on Friday just plain water I'll see what they look like on Friday and decide if it's time to flush them for about 10days or so

Can you do some close ups with good lighting it's hard to tell how close you are
But 60% amber is well past harvest, I'd like to see some clear pics of the buds and pistil's in particular.

When you say 60% are you talking about trichomes or pistils? It's all about the trichomes and unless you have a great microscope that takes quality pics, no one can tell you when to harvest from a pic. I can say, that if you think you are close to harvest an additional 10 days could over-ripen your budz. I like to flush with 3 gal water per gallon of soil all in one shot. I let it get pretty darn dry, then I harvest. But, to each their own as they say.

I mean the hairs on top of the buds are going brown

So you mean a pot that is 3 gallons needs 9 gallons of water?

Do you stand over the bath with this so all the water leaks out of the bottom then just wait till its bone dry then harvest it?

Yes, I flush like that. But, again that does not mean you have to. Now you say you are going by the pistils...do you know what a trichome is?

Yeah all the crystals by the bud on the leaves?

I haven't had a good look at these to be honest.

I thought when the white hairs got brown on top of the buds it was time to harvest

I will take a better pic tomorrow and look at the trichomes

When you water your plants with that much water what does it actually do? Cause I'd of thought it would just drown the roots instantly :/

Thank you

Dont starve your plants before harvest, its bullshit and just lowers your eventual yield."flushing out the nutrients" isnt possible from a botanical point of view.Dry and cure properly if you dont want harsh smoke.

Again I flush at 5-6 days before harvest...it does not starve anything. I feel for my grows it helps reduce the amount of nutes in the actual plant. The key words being MY GROWS and I FEEL. I may or may not be correct in my opinion but, again it is my grow. I did not advise anyone to do anything with their grow.

That said, budz certainly need proper drying and curing.. There is tons of info on how to do that on RIU.

I know about the drying part.

It's just the harvest part I'm unsure about.

Looking at my plants I think I've got a good 10-12oz right now if I can get more that's great if not then I'm happy to harvest, I'll just have to have a closer look at the leaves with a micro in the morning see if they are cloudy or going brown

But my leaves around the buds are still green and haven't gone yellow so they are not hungry for nutes

"I think I've got a good 10-12oz"

Budz will lose 2/3 or more of their weight in drying and curing. Too get that kind of dry weight you will need 30 to 36 ounces wet.

going harvest them on the 9th Saturday.

Give them 1/4 strength nutes tomorrow then 4 days later give them loads and loads of pure water then by Saturday they will be bone dry and it's harvest time :)
