T5HO brands

I thought I had a similar thread but cant find it, internet is quite unstable during the storm atm. I have a 4x4 tent Im using for flowering ATM. I want to get a T5HO (4ft 8bulb) to use for veg, possibly try flowering as well. I was told that Durolux are fine, even though thryre the cheapest. Either way, Id like to get a cheaper system and get some nice bulbs for it.

Was also told about CMH, but they seem too expensive. Opinions?

For sure thanks for the reply. Im more so interested in what brands people have used with success on the cheaper end.

@whitebb2727 Hey I know we already spoke, on my other thread I couldnt find before making this thread. You said you have the 4ft 8bulb Durolux..

1. How long have you had it?
2. Any complaints?

Yes the 4ft 8 bulb and six bulb. The 8 bulb has just one run on it. The six bulb has been running non stop for over a year as a friend has it now.

Only complaint is the reflector. It can be bent easily. Got to pick it up by the back bone.

Other than that no complaints. I took it apart and is built well. No loose wires or anything like that.

I just swapped out my tubes for some T5,4 foot lcd tubes,

cheaper on power by 50% and I think about 25% brighter,

I got me the same kelvin too, 2 cool white and the 6 warm reds,

I'm very happy so far ...where else can I cut the bill by 50% and get a boost in light too ...lol

good luck

ps with these new lcd tubes you don't need the T5 ballast, but just the clips and wiring

I went on amazon they have 4 bulb 4 footers(cheap brand envirogro maybe) there like 60 dollars.. there alot brighter then my sun blaze t5s
