They need to be left out in the open air a little longer. Can you just spread them out somewhere that is dark and has a little bit of air movement? I would start with 6 to 8 hours and then put back into jar and be prepared to remove them from the jar if they exceed 62% RH. If you need to remove them again, you need to just use your best judgement as to how long. Perhaps only 2 or 3 hours that time and then rejar.
only issue is idk where the heck to put them that is cardboard dark and little air circulation. I literally can't think of where to put them..

Cardboard will suck the moisture out of them too fast. That's my experience. Good job on actually taking advice and going out to get stuff so quickly. Just throw them in a closet or leave them spread out on a dresser to dry. Keep an eye on the RH in your drying area as well. If you live in a relatively dry place with a climate like Cali, Arizona or Texas then you'll need to keep a close eye on them. If your rooms room's RH is right in the cure zone then you don't have much to worry about.
Now you just have to wait it out until they get to where they need to be. At least you weren't in the 80s though. You would have gotten moldy buds and fast.

I once had a guy deliver me a QP that he put on his dash to "dry" (in the bag?)
By the time it got to me some 2 hours later, it already began to smell like a hockey equipment sack.
It really doesn't take long for bacteria to multiply, that's for sure.

you can use anything, just want to get them aired out, light isn't really that important, you just don't want them under direct light. air movement is good, just not right on them. cool,dry dark place.

Everyone knows that after the first dry the sweat will show the moisture. Use something like a beer cooler, with a sealed lid. Leave the bud on the stalk until it has reached the desired moisture level...hang dry, sweat, hang dry, sweat etc. At about 65 H trim it off the stalk and finish the cure.
so anyone? I let them out to dry on some saucer trays I had and they got real dry to the touch. me humidity gauge read 60-65. they weren't brittle though and then I re jarred them last night and threw the gauge in there with the bud and it went up again to 70. so I have to let them dry out again correct? til my rh drops to what? and then rejar jar again and repeat?

you want it between 55 to 60
but the humidity in my garage says 62 and that's where I laid them out. is that fine or do I need a dehumidifier. when they were sealed up in the jars the humidity in there was at 70.
lol both my gauges say two different things. one is an accurite and it says 62 and the other from petco says 69ish 70.
