Plant is cherry pie, a clone purchased from a local dispensary 2 weeks ago, 6.3-6.4 ph, transplanted into a half gal nursery pot and is under 2x 300w mars hydro Light with 3 other clones, area is 2.5x2.5x4.5. Half a tsp cal-mag every watering, im watering every 2-3 days depending on pot weight and dryness (finger method). So a few days ago I noticed black spotting on some mid and lower fan leaves, amd now the same leaves are turning yellow and drying up, I have not noticed spotting on any other leaves. Let me know what you think!

Also don't abuse the calmag do it like every once in awhile. Maybe like others sed if u haven't feed i will say she's hungry, also too much calcium and mag can cause lockout of other key nutrients and micros, like others sed maybe give her a good flush and feed at the end of the flush with 1/2 strength npk solution. Forgot to mention, using fox farm ocean forest soil. Thanks for the replies! think I'm going flush and transplant and see how she does, what would be recommended first as far as transplant/flushing, let me know what you think! Thanks.

I think OF has a lot of nutrients in it. I would add 30-40% perlite. I've never used it. But, it always seems FF soil users have issues with the soil being too dense/heavy/wet. I like to see more perlite in a soil.

If you're going to transplant, I wouldn't flush.

If you haven't been feeding, and the FF soil has nutrients like I think it does, then I think your problem has been keeping the soil too wet. You should let the container become very dry. It should feel very light when you lift it. Were you doing that? Or, were you treating it like a houseplant and giving it a little water all the time, keeping it wet?

The 1st time I watered, the plant had been droopy and the pot was very light, perked up soon after a good watering, which I used 1/2 a tsp of botanicare cal-mag and 6.4 ph tap water, second time wasn't droopy but the pot had felt as light and had the slightest bit of moisture,1 knuckle deep. I'll let it dry out completely this time and watch her. I cut off the really bad leaves, waiting to see if it still occurs on other leaves, I still don't see spotting in anywhere else in the plant and very faint yellowing on some lower/mid leaves I didn't feel it was bad enough to snip it, I'll keep an eye on her and see how it goes, because otherwise she is thriving and looks very healthy, new growth looks healthy.

Edit: drainage seems fine, just incase I'll increase airflow a bit, no other clones in the same pots seem to have issues what so ever.

It sounds like it was too dry the first time. That's useful to go that far a time or two to learn what "too far" feels like, and then let it dry as much as you apparently did after that. (I wouldn't let it wilt again. It sounds like you didn't overwater.).

If you use tap, you shouldn't have to use "calmag." (I think "calmag" is overused and completely unnecessary in soil). What is the TDS/ppm of your tap water? It's probably ok if the other plants don't have a problem. But, it would be good to know this. Your water provider is required to publish a water quality report which should tell you the annual average TDS.

Looks as if calcium is locked out and possibly p.I would repot in a good nursery mix and at least min 30% perlite, water with a b1 supplement like superthrive, water until you get water out the bottom and hope for the best.

Strange that it's not happening to the other plants. It could be from using "calmag" unnecessarily (assuming tap has all the Ca and Mg the plant needs). Maybe too much Ca:Mg is locking out for that particular strain. It might clear up if he stops. He could just stop for that plant if he's worried about affecting the others.

my thoughts exactly..
you're locking out other nutes.. a little goes a long way, and sometimes it's best not to use it at all..
was there a particular reason you're using calmag every watering?
also, it never hurts to give 'em a break in between feeding and / or supplements w/ straight pH'd water

No reason other than the instructions on the bottle, hadn't heard otherwise. Never gave it a full dose usually 1/4 to a 1/2 tsp each time, I need to remember the soil I'm using lasts people over 3 weeks, just going to give it ph'd water for a while and see what happens, maybe transplant it if it doesn't get worse, all out flush if it starts taking over other leaves. You guys rock, thanks for all of this info so far.

Ffof doesn't last forever and you're in a small pot ..... Trade pots are actually less than a half gallon..... You need to feed or transplant and quit watering so often

Ph'd water and flushing are a waste of time w ocean forest.....it would take hundreds of gallons to change the pH of the soil and flushing is just retarded..... My tap water comes out 8.4

If you transplant thru veg the way you should you don't need any calcium or magnesium until flower........ And you won't get what you need from tap water that's ridiculous.....
