Or GG saw that and said...cool different than the normal China BS...I can work with that. What would it cost for you(panda) to build a case to my specs(not a little China unit) and look a lot better...no mounting hardware all. And so the cx300 was born. Didn't take long for everyone to jump on it that train too. Even panda jumped on the better design. I'll stay a step ahead.

Complete noob with LED, only been researching a few short weeks. Have done a few grows in my current room, 15ftL x 12ftW x7.5ftH...

I currently have 5 1000W HID set up, can anyone suggest something I can look into for this room?

My problem in research isnt lazyness, I swear they all have such mixed reviews... some praise them and some say complete opposite.. And i never actually know if its the companies giving these good reviews or people who have actually USED them. Thanks in advance!

If you have any time to read through journals, Purdue is leading the country in horticulture SSL. This is an older research document that you will not have to pay for. The only thing that is not really discussed is what happens to produce ATP, the energy used later in Dark Reactions. There are 2 photosystems on the bi-lipid layer of a thylakoid... inside of chloroplasts... the nicknames are PS 680 and PS 700. Chlorophyll b reacts with a certain nm, there are also many other pigments in these photosystems (photosystem II and I). 660nm, with a high density is going to produce the best growth and flower. I know the importance of white but I believe that 660nm should be the main light source. wonder what you think? I am here to share info and learn from the experience of the DIY!

Dr. Lopez and his colleagues are doing some great work in Iowa no doubt.................his ssl 80 730nm r&d didn't make it in to zelion V1 in time.

My experience with a predominantly ssl 80 660nm SPD fixture was around 2 gpw on the second try ==== granted the balancing act(very large container) on the scale showed a +/- 10g fluctuation and the one special girl out of three could make it a fluke. Should give it another go, but my eyes hate the spectra...........will see! pun intended:mrgreen:

Also this forum is ahead of the rest when it comes to cannabis/light tech===== YES efficient cobs are very good with repeated results to back it up.

Looking to buy a manufactured led to replace a 600 or 1000 Watt hps. Advanced, go green, Pacific light concepts seem to be pretty good. But I figure posting in this thread to ask for recommendations would be appropriate
 
Hi guys, I want to buy a light to a 5ft x 5ft tent I want to ask you for your help to help me choose, I wanted to do it diy with the most cheapest option due to the limited budged, and I want it real efficient and cheap, so Im deciding between bridgelux vero 18 and 29, which do you guys would recommend more? how would cost me the full project? thank you
 
I just saw the Johnson brand lights in person recently. They don't look bad but use curved lenses unlike the Area 51 lights that are out now. I prefer the Area 51 which I have several different panels from.

The LED lights are great for a somewhat thin canopy. 18" or thinner of a canopy is best to keep. I'm going to do a SOG grow with very little if any veg time to use up the led light in the most productive and least energy wasting way I can think of.
 
just received my area51 w90 today. didn't realize how small it is. it's perfect.. for my 2x2x5 tent. might have to order another before the year is up. have both that and the old model marshydro 300

Id def add a second w90. I got the 4000k. Will be used only for flowering but also can still veg if needed

yeah i'ma def add a second one in. i have the 4000k one as well. currently on the 4th week of veg. gonna do one more week since the new light came today, and then flip.

did you diff light for veg?

I'll be keeping my mothers in a smaller area under 600 watt hps and taking clones that will go under Area 51 w100s while rooting, might veg under these for a week or less and then it's off to flower under the w90s
