Just started 12/12 or actual flowering? If you just started 12/12 then keep tucking for 2 weeks. Maybe 3 if it's a longer flowering strain. If your colas start stacking on budsites then stop tucking. You'll want to wait until they're through stretch totally pretty much. You'll find that sweet spot. If you've worked with the strain or if it's clones you're already familiar with then you'll know when to stop.
After that then just be prepared to spend a few nights trimming until your eyes are blurry in a few months lol.
Get at least 2 pairs of fiscars. And some 99% Iso alcohol. Bottle of Everclear works as well. Fill up a wide, heavy glass with it deep enough to have the blades submerged. Keep 1 pair of Fiscars in it soaking. Swap them out every 30 - 60 minutes. All that goodness will melt down into the alcohol. If it gets thick and sludgy then pour that into a pyrex dish and pop a lid on it. Repeat until you're 100% done with your harvest. Let the alcohol evaporate and bam. You just got a nice fat glob of goodness to smoke.
Get 2 small buckets. Chuck your sugar leaves in one and your stems in another if you're going to make bubble hash or something. I'm lazy and just do Iso. I find it's easier to do the stems first. They float so they're easy to retrieve. Then teabag the leaf matter with a screen net. Let it sit after swirling and the oils sink to the bottom.
If you're going to wet trim then chop a few colas.. Then leave the rest of the plant until you can come back to it.
The lolipop kids say chop everything you can. I say leave everything under there. If you're going to get deficiencies that start at the bottom before leaves start falling off then they'll alert you down low first. Under where your light is going to be blasting your canopy and getting the big production from photosynthesis. If it looks dead then flick it. If it falls off then throw it away.
Dead leaves up top = losing photosynthesis. Slap a small fan under there if you want more airflow. Problem solved.
I see you have more/smaller plants under screens. My experiences are filling out a 3x3 with one. So your results may vary with how hungry your plants get when they hit that big swell stage and how fast they start dropping leaves like no ones business.
If you're working with different plants then check the trics on each plant. Cut them as needed if you have the time to do so if they have slightly different flowering times. I have a sativa pheno of a strain that takes a good 10+ days more the rest of its sisters in the pack it came from. I kept the longer flowering one. She blew the rest away in production. If it's clones then meh don't worry about it too much.
Have more jars than you think you'll need. Have your chopping/drying area ready to go ahead of time.
