Upon further investigation I found what looks like two different retreats here in the United States, I feel like this is something I should of known about sooner. Has anyone else heard anything about these retreats?

I dug a little deeper and I found out that if you become a member of Oklevueha NAC (I hope I'm getting this right), which from what I gather is a recognized Native American religion in the United States (not a traditional religion but protected as such), you can legally partake in the consumption of Ayahuasca and other spiritual medicine (I even saw on multiple sites talking about getting it sent to your door). Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone had heard of this yet (the retreats seem fairly new but it looks like the law that actually protects you from persecution was passed back in 2000).

I'm at a point in my life where I have some questions that I would really love to get some guidance on. I've tried my usual routes, meditation, sensory derivation (with a little bit of cannabis :bigjoint:), shrooms, lsd, and just haven't got the answers to questions....idk, maybe I'm asking the wrong questions. I suppose that's besides the point. But I've never tried DMT though, I've never really had a reason to, but I know people who have had questions or need guidance have gone to Mother Ayahuasca seeking answers and have come back feeling like they got those answers. Just thought I'd see what your guys thoughts on it were.

I wasn't impressed recreationally with Ayahuasca + San Pedro tea, the one time I tried it. Seemed like the lower quality acid where you're pretty much waiting for the trip to end. A steady buzz but I had a tummy ache. The San Pedro was grown for years under 1000W MH so I dunno . . .

Edit: a true shaman drug is Salvia Divinorum in my opinion. Seemed spooky, doing it solo. Not a party drug.

I understand. The Aya is better if you make it yourself.

Yea I've heard that Ayahuasca isn't very fulfilling if you go in with a recreational kind of mindset, that's been the main reason why I haven't taken it yet. I've never really had the feeling like I needed something answered or needed guidance, and if I did I usually got that guidance from other means. So did you take the Ayahuasca and the San Pedro tea together? I've read on some of these sites that at certain ceremonial gatherings they will take both, seems like that would be a really heavy trip.....

*Edit: Also wanted to ask about your salvia experience since I've done it a couple times and didn't enjoy it. I felt like the trip was too volatile, too quick, didn't give me enough time to explore the world I was in. I've heard if you smoke the extract (like the x20 x30 etc) you get that kind of trip but if you just smoked the dried leaves (not extracted) the trip is much easier and last longer etc. Is that what you experienced, and is so how did you consume the salvia? Super interested....

Wow. Nice one Rob. Ayu is awesome. Had a very profound experience myself. I am also very interested in hearing more upon the retreats. And religious/mentoring sides of it.
Thanks! Yea when I stumbled on that article yesterday I was like "Really?!", I think it'd be awesome to get in to that community if I could. I feel like you'd be around so many like minded people it'd be awesome. What really intrigued me is the part about becoming a medicine man and having ayahuasca shipped directly to your house, and it's totally legal!

The San Pedro was grown over many years by my friend but I'd have to say it was a disappointment. He processed it and made the combo tea. I forget how much Ayahuasca he added but it was an adjunct to the mescaline (now that I think about it).

The same friend did the 10x extract but I wasn't tempted after smoking leaves. I'm a big bong smoker. One bowl of leaf didn't get me off (as I recall) but I'd huff three bongs in a row. My residence seemed like an eerie place, something that never happened to me under acid or shrooms.

That's salvia. I enjoyed the high x when soaked dried into weed. Smoked outdoors at nighttime.
