I gaurantee somebody has came up with this before me I just haven't seen it and would like to spread the word and possibly get some feedback, or if anyone has done it how it turned out. Seemed to clone much faster and are growing amazing. Check it out.

Thanks for sharing, but it's not new. Topped clones and monster cropping works well for clones that you plan to cut.

I all ways take from the top of mother plant they say that it holds all the DNA from the mother plant. Not sure if that's true or not

Sounds like old wise tale..

I find, as long as its not the woody material in the older growth, it clones great.

Another way to have better success with clones is to take the snips from a cloned mother. Snips taken from seed plants develop roots much differently than snips taken from a cloned mom.

In reality. It is the lower branching or lowest available leads that will root faster/stronger.
They contain the lowest amounts of available N contained in the plant.....The top of the plant will contain the most.

Take a cutting from the bottom - like a side branch you trim away at the flip and a cutting from the top of the plant and side by side these and see for yourself!

MANY grow books bring this point up.

I guess if your like me, clone a ton, keep the strongest, donate the rest. Never had one die on me in my current system. It really doesn't matter...

I think he was just bringing up the fact that if you cut a Clone from the branch that has two tops already, it speeds up the growth, after root. I really don't think the location of the cut was the point of the post.

I get damn near equal results from top or bottom of momma. I perfer the top. The stems are thicker, and snapping cuts from the top, the momma stays shorter. That's just how I've always tried to do it, but when snapping a round of cuts i'll usually always end up taking some from down low to fill the order. Even if i'm snapping cuts from plants about to flower, I like taking from the top half.

Exactly, thank you, but it also seemed to develope a root system much faster, probably due to the fact there's double the room for foliage feed. And still anybody have a name? I'd still like to look into it more. I originally did this to start mainline clones without the crazy veg time, figured get em ready on mama so they don't have so much work by themselves. The results are awesome!
