Because we are the most diverse nation in the world. I read a good peer reviewed article years back that argues this from one of the social theories. Let me see if I can dig it up. I believe it was the conflict theory.

Not to be pedantic, just a really interesting fact. The most diverse nation in the world is Papua New Guinea: There are over 820 different languages spoken and over a hundred different ethnic groups. Crazy, huh?

•Deinstitutionalisation of mental health facilities
•Legalization of drug advertisements
•Debt
•Privatized health care
•Privatized criminal corrective institutions
•Lack of a sense of fulfillment
•Hopelessness
•A job market where being a permanent temp worker is your best prospect.

Anyone else want to pick up the list? America is a changed place, but the second amendment has remained since the beginning. There are numerous variables contributing to the decline in society, the Bill of Rights isn't one of them.

Countries that ban guns still have violent crime, some more per capita than the U.S.

There is also Switzerland with mandatory gun ownership that has possibly the lowest crime rate in the world.

Whittling away constitutional rights is not going to make America any better.

I agree that's probably the main issue, but other minor issues include the access to and prevalence of guns in the US. After Australia's example, I don't see how that point can be logically argued
If you don't like the Bill of Rights, then perhaps it would be best to pack your bags and move to Australia. It's obviously your personal utopia. If gun ownership were a problem, then a country such as Switzerland would be a failed state. The fact that you're so set on one variable (guns) only shows that you're incapable of grasping how complex problems have complex solutions. There are many variables, yet you focus on one.

Australia only had a handful of guns compared to the US which has twice as many guns as people.

Prescription drug overdoses kill 10,000 more people than guns do annually. Where's the outcry?

Is there a difference between Obama and FBI ?? Obama clearly wants a change but its the other ass hats in congress that voted against ,, Its sad when people cannot even agree to disagree for for the safety of a nation but rather wait for that pay cheque slid into there back pockets when know one is looking
Any other country that would have this much shootings from its own citizens would in fact be on track to correcting the problem ,, But not in USA
