So I'm running a Hub 8. It says on the box max 15 amp per 2 outlets. It also says 8000 watts max/1000 per outlet. Would I be ok running three 1200 watt lights under this 8 site HID hub? 200 above recommended outlet output but running way under 8000 total. Thanks guys.

Looks like there are 2 Hub 8 controllers. There is a HUB-8HD and there is a HUB-8C. Which one do you have?

Looks like you probably have the HUB-8C. I notice it has NEMA 6-15R recepticles in the side. This usually means 220V. If you plug a 1200 Watt fixture into a 220V circuit it will draw~ 6A of power. Per the unit, each receptacle is rated for 15A, so 2*~6A=~12A per receptacle. I'm not sure why they have a limiting factor on the wattage?? If it were me, I would just run it. **NOTE** I was a commercial electrician for a good number of years so when I say "If it were me, I would run it"....I also know that I would likely be able to fix it if I overdrive it. So take that for what its worth but I truly think you could get away with it.

why not contact blueprint or sunleaves (iirc) is their domestic retailer and help people. they walked me thru setting up my bdac2 fuzzy logic controller. he said the bdac2 is rated for 15a (for safety reasons), but can handle a tad bit more.

I am running the phanton DE setup. Which are adjustable and capable of running anywhere from 600-1200 watts. As you've said, each receptacle is rated at 15 amp and there are 4. I'm running each phanton light at there own receptacle keeping amp usage to a minimal and I'm only running 3 lights. I'm no electrician but I feel like I should pass. But just wanna be safe. Lol.
