3 to 5000 btu for every 10000 watts enclosed hoods, this is a 12 light room w 8 foot ceiling, how much AC will I need?
do you think that DE is to much heat for 8 foot ceilings? I was thinking maybe this http://growershouse.com/e-fusion-1000w-wing-grow-light-package
gavita have plastic bulb holders that are prone to catch fire, nanolux uses ceramic ones, FYIMy local hydro shop has gavitas for 400 bucks. I was looking at those nanolux's but I stumbled onto the phantoms for 350. If I'm paying 350 might as well buy gavitas , I think. I don't know what I'm going to do.

well. I am using them with an 8 ft ceiling , as long as you grow 5 ft or under plants, and the heat from that 1000watt light from a de isn't that much of a difference.do you think that DE is to much heat for 8 foot ceilings? Nanolux-DE it is. Thanks!gavita have plastic bulb holders that are prone to catch fire, nanolux uses ceramic ones, FYI
Are you sure about that? I got a much higher number?3 to 5000 btu for every 10000 watts enclosed hoods,
4 to 6,000 btu for every 10000 watts open hood
6000 btu minimum for 1000w light. Are you sure about that? I got a much higher number?
cool so I'm thinking 2 30,000 but mini splits? any recommendations?6000 btu minimum for 1000w light.
Until you sit down and review your room design, do calculations of all of the equipment that will be used and what BTU's that equipment puts out along with its heat discharge in relation to the room, you are just pulling numbers out of thin air really. An AC unit undersized wont help, a unit oversized will short cycle and wont help either. Just putting in my two cents, take it or leave it, but there are many factors to be considered that have not been discussed or offered about your room design and layout. Are you sure about that? I got a much higher number?
Just be sure the 8 foot ceilings are going to work for you. And be sure 12 is not too much for your room size. Ive seen it where guys replaced with DE and get too hot.cool so I'm thinking 2 30,000 but mini splits? any recommendations?
In a 12,000 watt room, me personally I'd put a 24k btu on each wall. If one dies the others will have no problem keeping up. And will allow you to run whatever temps you'd like (some people like to drop lights on temp last few weeks to add color) in whatever weather you get (hot climates).cool so I'm thinking 2 30,000 but mini splits? any recommendations?
