lol cool, I thought you were talking shit, so I tried to be neutral about it. I found it on www.tmart.com it's a hong kong based company. for 12 dollars extra it'll arrive in 2 weeks, but the regular shipping took almost 3 weeks. Not too bad if you have patience. It's 18 watts, 1620 lumens, and no heat. heavy, but it's good.

On the next grow, I'm going to position the LED light better, buy a longer surge protector strip, and install the UVB light. My friend who takes care of the plant says i'm going overboard and maybe I am. It can be exhausting but it does feel good. I have come to find I lean on the side of becoming engulfed with activities, but I hope i don't get burnt out. I don't think i'll ever stop smoking nor enjoying it, just like alcohol.
Do any of y'all struggle with that? Not thinking about it all day, but definitely thinking about doing it better, and what you'd like to grow in the next round, how can I make this better?
I hope this isn't obsession. I really do enjoy this hobby though.

Chopping day
On Monday, i would say at least half of the trichromes were cloudy, so I knew the day for chopping was coming. I checked out a couple of grows that grew the same strain and they harvested around this time. I don't believe I harvested too early and i'm really pleased with the outcome. Also, my buddy who is taking care of the plant told me it hasn't grown in like 4 days, so that also helped out with the decision. I was amazed at how the plant was not root bound. There is a picture i'm including in this were the soil is separate from the pot but is holding all together. I know you can't see the roots, but they didn't grow up the sides or anything. Anyways right now i'm trying the Chalex method of solventless extraction so we'll see how that goes. Anyways i'm hoping for at least 20 grams which i think i'll achieve. The wet weight was 81 grams so maybe a 1/4 of that? anyways i'll let y'all be the judge for now. Enjoy!

Wassup y'all.
The buds have been dried...and well... they came out pretty whispy and airy at a grand total of 15 grand. I'm disappointed, I know i should be thankful and I am, but man they were dense and i was expecting to lose 80% but fuck no more than that. It's curing right now and has been since last night. Will the high get better? right now the high seems like it was harvested early? idk. Words of wisdom would be great at this point as to the high, and the whispiness of the buds. Was it the cfl's or genetics with the whispiness? will the high get better the longer the cure of the buds?

It's been over two weeks and they're still a little green (chlorophyll). is that ok? They smell like a hobby/craft store as well as a minor newly-cut-grass fragrance. When you grind it up it smells amazing, although it's a smell i've never associated with herb. i took the lid off of the jar for 12 hours, i think i might have dried them out, but i'll see tonight when i take the top off.

Curing the buds longer will make it taste better and increase the potency from what i have read. You should "burp" your jars for only a few minutes each day. 12 Hours might be excessive and will dry the buds out for sure. I don't think you have to burp it after the first month. You should do research on curing and storing your buds. All this hard work you have raising your plants will go to waste if you don't know how to cure it properly.

Maybe I was being impatient with the curing process, but my understanding was that the cured smell would start coming out more and more and it's stayed the same. I also tried to do the Rosin tech and got no rosin at all. although the pressed bud was super green, leading me to believe it's still too moist and there is still a lot of chlorophyll in the plant matter. ya dig? Although Intended to only have the jar open for 6 overs, it was waaaaaay too long.

Anyway, Dank congratz on the harvest! Truly inspiring thread for all those micro growers! And man 18g is a number to be proud of in such a small grow, on your next one you'll get more than 20 for sure!
After a week of opening everyday you should start to reduce that number to around three times a week or so. There's this great thread on curing here on RIU if you're interested. And the smell will become stronger with every passing day so no worries man.

I have no idea why you're not getting notifications man! Thank you dude I appreciate that compliment. I definitely believe i'll get at least 20 g's next time around. It's on week 4 of the cure and dude it's held onto it's moisture content. I've made boneheaded mistakes where I leave the lid off of the jar the whole night because I for got to close the lid after smoking.
yet it's still most and doesn't become dust when grinded. The smell is really different. I can't put my finger on it. It's very craft-storey- smell. Does that make since? when i grind it up, it smells superb. Sweet fruits with a skunk after smell. hypnotizing. I would rate the high 7/10, that lingers the rest of the day if smoked in the morning. It is smooth making it easier to take large tokes. Would I recommend it? Yeah I would, but for stealth-ops. I can't wait to get back to growing though it could be a little bit. I'll still be on here getting blue-balled at all the plants that i'd love to grow. It'll be even better here in 5 years when hopefully we can grow it legally. I will definitely make use of that when the time comes.

PS. I will making changes to the pc by adding mylar, and a reflector of some sort to revirt 50% of the light that is not going towards the plant. There's a dude on here that has some pretty convincing and interesting opinions on growing with cfl's so i'm going to look into that. I'll put his link on the bottom. He's been on here before and does blog posts. interesting stuff. I'm also going to cut nutrients out. I burned my plant last time around and burning Auto's isn't very good and skips days which are essential growth in an autoflower strains life. I do want to buy some badass organic soil though and just use that. Maybe some garrett juice, which isn't fertilizer but helps the bacteria in the roots and soil? Oh and I'm going to add one last LED light and that's it for that. I'll make another thread and showcase it off when it happens. Right now i'm trying to focus on paying off my credit card debt and moving in with my girlfriend.
