Advanced Nutrients PH Perfect

Before you go on your rant about how AN is horrible and I should use this or that etc., please relax. This is my first Hydro grow and the nutrients were provided to me for free...

now with that said.

Im using AN Grow Micro Bloom PH Perfect... Im days away from flowering and wanted to see if anyone else on here uses the PH perfect line. I would like to use supplemental AN notes such as B52, big bug etc. The AN feed schedule says to use their specific bundles such as hobbyiest but I want to customize my nutrient line up .

Long story short, will any advanced nutrient product work with PH perfect or do I have to use them in a specific order as long as I'm following the feed chart..

Sorry if this doesn't make sense. I just finished a 24 hour shift and Im a little toasted..Residency sucks..

you really don't need anything then what you have, but if you want to believe there bs, buy it all so you can be a master grower, lol
You know, thats kinda what i was thinking. This plant turned out to be a monster already. Funny because you read everyone on forums and they swear all the extras make a difference...

Ive been soil guy for 10 plus years and only used my own soil mixes without "other" additives with results that would get better every grow. A hydro store owner / friend gave the nutrients to me and said "see what you think". he then said come by and get the additives and you will be impressed. Bate and switch ?.... They base nutrients seem to work good but man, AN is $$$

I appreciate your input Chuck.

anyone else have anything to add?

I use AN. I use the PH Perfect Connesuer Grow + Bloom, and the Hobbyist package (Voodoo Juice , B-52, Overdrive, Big Bud). I like them fine. I never have to adjust pH. I like my yields.

I struggled with some nute burn during mid flowering until I figured out proper nute strength (which was less than what AN recommends).

Good Luck. PM me if you have any specific questions. Glad to help.

I would continue to only use base nutes in a hydro grow. Keeping it simple works very well with hydroponics, no need to throw in all the additives at all.

Yes you can use the extras. I use the Bloom A and B, big bud, overdrive and B52 and the voodoo. The recommended strength is about right for most strains, but not all. The Northern lights 5 can take 110% of recommended, while white russians dont like more than 80%. Start at 70% strwngth and work up. Once the tips burn you know to stop increasing...

Don't even fucking start with AN. The questions you are asking will become more specific and expensive as you go along. Getting something for free is no excuse for using it. Do some research and start your cannabis career with something that you can build on. AN is shit and will cost you in many ways.

Dobbs, sounds like you don't care for the product. What gives? (serious question btw)

I have grown for quite some time in soil. Like others, I tried many different soil brands before researching and eventually mixing my own and to this day get fantastic results.

I have no problem using a free product on a test clone. Im also using the GH Flora series line on another test clone. Both plants are doing fantastic but the plant with AN is growing much bigger. If you don't mind me asking, what nutrients do you use?

I am most likely going this route. I wanted to play around with a few brands and see what I (I, being the key word here) like the best and go from there. Thanks for the advise.

I too am still debating.
Additives are sorta common to many grow methods. A lot of people use them. Whether they work or not is one debate, but another debate is why people bash AN for offering additives. Most nute companies offer additives of some sort.

But AN does take it too far with all their levels of additive packages like Hobbyist, and so forth. They make growing look more complicated and expensive than it should be.

Their base nutes are great. Hardly no one disputes that. And since plants need only about half to 3 quarters recommended strength of AN base nutes, the nutes are much cheaper than they seem. And you don't ever have to worry about pH. Which is worth the extra cost for me right there.

The next time I take clones from the same mother, I plan to run 2 clones side by side. Both will be given the same AN base nutes, but only one will be given the AN Hobbyist Package additives. And I'll get to see for myself if there's a difference.

AN is overly complicated? What?

It was the line that was suggested to me when i was a noob, particularly because it is easy to manage their base line. All the additives are for increasing control of the grow and experience of the grower. Nobody says you have to use it all...

I have tried other lines. I have not gotten the results to match what i can do with AN. But i also realize i still have a lot to learn in the nute department. ... but until i get all the other fundamentals mastered ill stick with AN.

As for the AN haters.... as far as i can tell from all the hatevi have read in forums is that they merely dislike the price of the product, the slick marketing and the fact that one if the owners raped a young girl...

I did bit of digging. That dude is a mobster...likely the guy money behind the whole operation. That does bother me....but at the same time is he any better or worse than the billion dollar CEOs of other companies who have raped, murdered and robbed? And i find it very hypocritical that some of the very same AN haters are black market dealers, where all the same and more is happening.

Bottom line....AN is easy and it works well.... even the AN haters dont deny that because they cant...but it is pricey....
