I'm curious how the issue of children living in a dwelling as a rec or or med grow will develop. also the issue of kids receiving weed from their parents in their own home like what is legal with booze.

Even legal, Insurance Co's do not have to cover it. Until the Insurance Industry signs off on MJ indoor homegrows (as Lloyds did prior to Mar 14/13), legality will not matter.the grow aspect is dumb.
The safety issues arise from unqualified people messing with elec, people growing hundreds of plants causing moisture and and the BM folks attracting other unscrupulous folks to the area.
Growing a couple of plants is no different than having your favorite ferns around the house.
If people weren't worried about getting tossed in jail for a plant or two they'd probably hire qualified people to build their areas safely.
Most of the safety issues can be rectified just by making it legal! The propaganda about home grows is beyond crazy.
I don't think legal mj laws will be much different than alcohol or tobacco and that's the way it should be.

Yep it was all BS, but Lloyds has assured me that if Phelan rules in our favour, at least they will start offering active-grow MMJ policies again.Yup, and all based on propaganda that was produced by prohibition.
The gov should have forced coverage for legal grows. The insurance co only needs certificates of inspections and/or sending out there own inspectors to know if it safe or not.
I feel the lack of insurance was used as a deterrent for home grows intentionally.
The government’s first step toward giving adults the green light for recreational pot use involves establishing a provincial, territorial and federal task force with public health, substance abuse and public safety experts.
Public health = THC limits
Substance abuse = amount limits
Public safety = LPs
I'll take bets...
Public Health = "THC limits"...you mean just like the 40% cap on alcohol content?Public health = THC limits
Substance abuse = amount limits
Public safety = LPs
I'll take bets...
I would assume the insurance industry for sure, and perhaps even some MMAR home gowers? And who is being consulted for their expert opinion on home growing?
maybe wilcox and remoI would assume the insurance industry for sure, and perhaps even some MMAR home gowers?
God lets hope not!maybe wilcox and remo
You must sell insurance or something....I would assume the insurance industry for sure, and perhaps even some MMAR home gowers?
Home growing would be included in public safety and fire and police will weigh in on it. Not sure who else would be included but cops and fire will be for sure. And who is being consulted for their expert opinion on home growing?
Nothing about the actual growing but I'm sure they'd want your grow room to be protected from water/fire damage. And mold. They can deny you coverage if you have a wood stove, existing damage ect. They don't want to be covering Shotty workmanship. You must sell insurance or something....
What the fuck does the insurance industry know about growing cannabis?
Not a insurance seller, just a victim of not reading the fine print! You must sell insurance or something....
