Drying humidity help

I live in Hawaii and am currently drying some herb. My humidity is currently at 62% in my drying area. I tried putting the herb in a box with a fan blowing in and it's still 62%. I'm looking at purchasing a small dehumidifier. I don't harvest very much (less than an ounce every two weeks).

My question are:

1) can I use the small dehumidifier inside of the box (2'x3') or will it suck out moisture too fast?

2) can I use something other than a dehumidifier like those containers used for closets that collect moisture (DampRid)?

Or does anyone have a better alternative?

Thanks in advance!

Hi, at 62 humidity you should be able to dry until it is damp but not wet. You can then put it into jars with a Boveda pack (62% control) . The Boveda pack will keep it at a humidity of 62% up or down. It won't go wet or dry, just right.
