MG soil is usually pretty hot stuff. typically you want to start off with a soil designed for seedlings and doesn't have much fert too it, like foxfarm light warrior. then you transplant into a different soil when they're bigger, like foxfarm ocean forest. don't know what to do to solve this issue right now because it's already in the soil.

Thanks for that so it won't matter if a couple leaves fall of wile there so small?
If the new growth isn't showing any signs of nute burn you're probably okay. I had a bit too hot of soil for mine when they started and had some yellowing etc. They are all flourishing now. Just keep positive and watch em. As a previous poster said, only time will truly tell, but they are quite hardy from my experience.

they have not done much more growing just stretching a couple inches taller with very thin stem, one lot of bottom leaves have fell and the other not far off. But the tops are looking fine still.
What kind of light are you using? Long thin stems usually indicate poor light. Start looking for a silica additive. It helps strengthen weak or brittle stems. If they survive and thrive you will need it it sounds like.

Not enough light at this time of the year. Get some CFL on them. If not they will simply fall over from straining for light. They live on light. It is a photoperiod plant relying on photosynthesis to live and grow.

Yes it would. Look for one as high a wattage as possible. Meaning watts it actually uses, not how many watts in incandescent bulbs it replaces. 6500K or close to veg with. CFL is perfect. Your fixture is fine. A 40-watt would be great but 23-watt seem to be most common. I live in North Mexico though so maybe it's better where you are.

Get that light right on top of your plant AFTER you transplant it. Shore dirt up all the way to the little leaves that first opened. Roots will sprout from the side you bury.

Cheers will be shopping for a light soon, would it be safe to still transplant at this stage as I'm not sure if the root have took over the hole pot yet

Make sure your desk top lamp isn't one where the bulb is recessed inside the fixture as cfls release light from the sides and not the tips/ends.
