Closet Grow (Need Help)

alright so today me and a friend went to get supplies at Home Depot for the closet grow we have planned. We are planning on growing 3 plants. I purchased 16 cfls total. 8 day lights and 8 soft lights. Do I need to get more or am I ok, and how far should I put the lights to the plant for before the vegetative stage and during? Thanks.
 
You know, it's a little aggravating when a new member just shows up and wants to be told in one thread, step by step how to grow weed.
Don't get me wrong... Lord knows when I did MY first real grow, sure, I had questions, BUT, I already had a good base of knowledge on the subject and style of growing I wanted to do.
How did I get that?
I READ ! I lurked, I followed, I researched on other like minded sites, GOOD GRIEF... you have a WORLD of knowledge at your fingertips !

Do the work, read the free info put out there by others that have had successes, get the BASICS down, start your grow and I'm sure many on here will be more than willing to help.
But to start out with the most basic of questions.....?
READ, absorb others knowledge, trials and errors, educate yourself, become a better gardener.

Fishdeth is right, if your not willing to at least read at "least" a few pages in a few mags not to mention books or at least vids or forums. Then you sir are not cut out for this life.

And your intro was terrible I'd stick to youtube or the such, At least ask some questions in the newb sect before you bare

I don't mean to sound mean about it but you have tons of growers on here who have wasted money, time, and energy, and supplies and some, to get where their at and I'm one of them. Knowledge is free but info is priceless...

I mostly read and clean up this way kinda my job lol
