I've got 2 ruderalis indica plants outside. Both are fems the tallest around 2 ft. has only one main cola no branching but full of bud. The other has a main cola plus 3 branches full of bud and about 1 1/2 ft. tall. This is the first time i tried these and so far i love em. My only concern is the purple buds, They dont just have a purple glare 50% of the pistols are bright, vibrant purple. They didnt turn purple the came out that way. Has anyone grown these or seen this before? Is this a good or bad thing? The plants look great other than the purple. Here's some pics, although my camera isnt great you can still see the purple.

Thanks man, I just never saw purple pistols before. I've seen pics of plants with purplish leaves but not pistols. I'll let you know, they have about 4 more weeks. Actually 2-3 but I pollenated them with a male Diesel ryder gonna let them go for an extra week or so to let any seeds mature, hopefully.
Here's an older pic you can see the garden. You must have seen the planter pot in the first pic. Thats the pot I have the male diesel ryder in. I put him out with the ladies every day, when his top buds start blooming I'll collect the pollen and hopefully will have a cross between the two. I'm going to call em RIDR's, Ruderalis Indica / Diesel Ryder

Ok i have sucessfully crossed the Ruderalis indica with the diesel ryder. I chose these two both for their autoflowering ability, the Diesel for its potentcy and the Ruderalis indica for its high yields (for an auto ) and its ability to adapt to almost any growing conditions. The hybred (RIDR) should be a potent auto thats easy to grow with yields up to 120 grms. My plants are still in the ground, but i should have seeds ready in around 4 weeks, I will then start a grow journal for the new hybreds.

thats awesome. i have 3 ruderalis-sativas. they are just babies but so far looking good. they have purple on them too actually. the leaves are tiny still but they are purple in the center. and the stems are purple too. what does this mean? just genetics im guessing. on year i also had some purple indica that i grew by a bush. the plants were very low maybe two feet. i ended up curing them in the trunk of my big old caprice. lol.
you have them with your tomatoes? i grow my own food too. im sure the tomatoes ands the rudys are greatest of friends
its winter where i live so i have my rudys in my closet. i have them under 6 26w cfls. 5700k. and im sure they will do great under those lights. i was gonna do a bigger thing, but im short on money. so this will be fine. i do it as a hobby anywyas, not looking to sell it. so its all good.
do you know what a good light schedule is for them? ive had mine under 24 hours light, but today im gonna switch it to 18/6, what do you think about that? to me it seems like they would need some darkness almost. just seems healthy for my girls to sleep.
