**EASY DIY $20 BUBBLE CLONER** A PICTURE HOW TO!

View attachment 3345800

I see the best results in Aeroponic cloners with no humidity dome. The water pump is on a timer, it runs on for 15 minutes, off for 30 minutes, IMHO the preferred method would be on for 5, off for 20 but 5 minute increment timers are ~$75... Moist Oxygen/air ("High levels of humidity") is what drives the cut ends to search for water. The dry intervals are important, roots need oxygen and water!... Don't be afraid to use sub cultures or mykos.... Great White works wonders for me.... After a week change the water, after roots appear add in a SMALL amount of nutrients or clone-X solution to stave off starvation. Use something disposable or sterilize the support foam with Hydrogen peroxide or bleach... Any other questions?

This timer: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0040718U0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 is $23 and you can set it up so that you can run it 5 on 20 off.

I grow in pro mix, therefore I always clone in pro mix. I use the cheapest rooting powder from my local farm store, and a styrofoam cooler, never lost a clone, and always have roots in 10 - 12 days, keep it simple.

Oh My!! I have 15 plants I want to take 3 clones each. one of each to determine sex and the rest ...well you get the picture... Coffee can isn't going to work. But Oh My!! awesome thread - opened a new can of worms here......I'm on a mission now... and on my way to the store. LOL

I've had a hard time getting cuttings to root. I believe part of my problem is I have my tray elevated over a heating pad that's been too hot and can't properly hold the moisture level in my medium. Root riot plugs or light warrior. This has me interested. I use the heating pad cause I'm cheap and have financial priorities.
Have any of you tried adding willow water to these types of cloning systems?

Hey I'm just wondering can clone like that bubble thing then transplant into soil? If so how did you transplant please.. I'm about to buy a pump and that's it I have all the other things apart from a pump but just curious if it be okay to soil

That's smart

I believe you could do this outside, in a 55 gallon drum. That would be a sight to see
think Rubbermaid tote for "under the bed" shoe storage.... about 10 gallons and 2' x 3'.....

But seeing how the root of this project is cost efficiency, and filling that with bubbles would take a serious air pump (not a walmart cheapy) I'll pass on that discussion.
In my honest opinion, Aeroponic cloning is the easiest most cost efficient way.
